Two more Xbox Game Pass releases have been quietly confirmed for October 2026. The pair includes one previously announced title that was only waiting for a release date, alongside a newly revealed Xbox Game Pass addition called Chained Beasts.
Chained Beasts is an upcoming gladiatorial action roguelite developed by Sydney-based indie studio Featherweight Games, the team behind strategy RPG Botworld Adventure and quirky endless runner Rodeo Stampede. Designed for one to four players, it sends a group of gladiators through arenas in Carthage, Germania, and eventually Rome in pursuit of their freedom. Its titular mechanic chains the fighters together, requiring coordinated movement while letting players trip enemies or drag them into arena hazards. Combat also includes melee and thrown weapons, environmental objects, and executions.
Chained Beasts Announced for Xbox Game Pass
Arriving Day One on October 15
Chained Beasts was officially announced in mid-September 2026, when Featherweight Games debuted an 85-second gameplay trailer confirming an October 15 launch. The Australian developer is self-publishing the roguelite through the ID@Xbox program, with the game set to join Xbox Game Pass on day one. Alongside the Xbox Series X/S and PC, Chained Beasts will be playable via Xbox Cloud Gaming. Outside of Microsoft’s ecosystem, it is also scheduled to launch for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, while the PC version will be available through both Steam and the Xbox/Microsoft Store.
New Bluey Game Gets a Release Date
Launching on Xbox Game Pass Alongside Chained Beasts
Separately, Bandai Namco Entertainment has quietly confirmed an October 15 release date for Bluey’s Happy Snaps. The next Bluey game was already announced for Xbox Game Pass when it was first unveiled in late March 2026. Developed by Gameloft Brisbane in collaboration with BBC Studios and Bluey producer Ludo Studio, the family adventure follows Bluey and Bingo after they discover their dad’s old camera and begin experimenting with it around the Heeler family home and other recognizable locations across Brisbane.

The full Xbox Game Pass lineup for October 2026 will most likely be announced on October 20, when the Wave 2 roster is expected to be formally revealed. The Wave 1 announcement, meanwhile, is projected for October 6, the same day Gears of War: E-Day joins Microsoft’s subscription catalog.
