A reliable insider has shared what’s believed to be the full list of Xbox Game Pass Starter Edition games. The leaked library spans nearly 60 titles, appearing similar, but not identical, to the Essential tier of Xbox Game Pass.
The Starter Edition of Xbox Game Pass first leaked online in late April 2026 after being data-mined from a recent Discord build. The initial findings described the unannounced tier as an entry-level offering with a $9.99 monthly subscription fee and limited access to Xbox Cloud Gaming, as well as a catalog of “50+ games.”

Xbox Game Pass Starter Edition Catalog To Include 58 Titles on Day One
That earlier leak has now been expanded by Billbil-kun, a well-known leaker with a years-long track record of verifiable scoops. Writing for Dealabs on April 24, the French insider shared what is believed to be the full list of Xbox Game Pass Starter Edition games. The leaked catalog spans 58 titles, including both multi-platform entries and games whose console and PC versions are treated as separate listings, such as Cities: Skylines – Remastered. The leaked library largely overlaps with the Xbox Game Pass Essential tier that was originally launched as XGP Core in September 2023.
The leaked list includes only two titles that are not currently available to Xbox Game Pass Essential subscribers: Doom 64 and the original Psychonauts. Conversely, it is missing Goat Simulator, which remains part of the Essential library for now. The latter discrepancy is seemingly easier to explain: Goat Simulator is scheduled to leave Xbox Game Pass on April 30, which may be before the newly leaked Starter Edition of the service is even announced.

At $9.99 a month, the Starter Edition subscription is expected to match the price of the Xbox Game Pass Essential membership. Given that the leaked tier is also rumored to include Discord Nitro, it may end up catering to PC players more than the inherently multi-platform Essential subscription. The original leak also referenced 10 hours of Xbox Cloud Gaming per month, rotating digital rewards, and in-game benefits as all being part of the Starter Edition package. For comparison, Xbox Game Pass Essential received limitless streaming access in August 2025.

In addition to publishing what may be its full list of games, Billbil-kun also narrowed down the Starter Edition’s potential launch window, stating that the yet-to-be-announced tier will debut no later than mid-May 2026. It remains unclear whether the Starter Edition of Xbox Game Pass will arrive with any geographic restrictions akin to those that apply to the Ultimate tier.
