Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Adds Surprise New Game and Confirms 9 Other Titles Coming Soon

Microsoft has confirmed nine new games coming to Xbox Game Pass in the near future, while simultaneously shadow dropping a surprise game subscribers can check out right now. When Microsoft made the Xbox Game Pass January 2026 Wave 2 announcement, it also revealed some of the games that would be coming to the service at the beginning of February.

That particular Xbox Game Pass announcement confirmed award-winning indie game Indika would be added to Game Pass at the start of the month, followed by Final Fantasy 2 on February 3. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can check out both of those games right now, but as it turns out, Final Fantasy 2 wasn’t the only game coming on February 3. Microsoft has issued a new update to the Xbox Game Pass library that includes a surprise new game to play and confirms nine other titles that are coming in the very near future.

Xbox Game Pass Update Adds 40 More Games to ‘Stream Your Own Game’ Library

February 2026 brings a total of 40 new titles to Xbox Game Pass’ Stream Your Own Game library, including notable RPG and horror classics.

As announced by Microsoft, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is now available to Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers. Madden NFL 26 will be added on February 5 alongside Paw Patrol Rescue Wheels: Championship, while Relooted will be added to the library on February 10. BlazBlue: Entropy Effect X is coming on February 12, with Roadside Research and Starsand Island both joining Game Pass that day as well. Big new day one game High on Life 2 will be making its Xbox Game Pass debut on February 13 with Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and finally, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is coming on February 17.

List of Xbox Game Pass Games Coming Soon (February 2026)

  • Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii (Ultimate/Premium/PC) – Available Now
  • Madden NFL 26 (Ultimate/PC) – February 5
  • Paw Patrol Rescue Wheels: Championship (Ultimate/Premium/PC) – February 5
  • Relooted (Ultimate/PC) – February 10
  • BlazBlue: Entropy Effect X (Ultimate/PC) – February 12
  • Roadside Research (Ultimate/PC) – February 12
  • Starsand Island (Ultimate/PC) – February 12
  • High on Life 2 (Ultimate/PC) – February 13
  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance (Ultimate/Premium/PC) – February 13
  • Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (Ultimate/PC) – February 17

This is a pretty stacked lineup of new Xbox Game Pass games coming soon, and should ensure that subscribers have plenty to play in February. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is a well-received spin-off of the long-running Yakuza/Like a Dragon franchise that embraces a pirate-theme, complete with sailing, while Madden NFL 26 is the latest entry in EA’s long-running football franchise. Starsand Island is a highly-anticipated cozy game that is kind of like a 3D take on Stardew Valley, while High on Life 2 is set to be a hilarious FPS experience, if the original game is any indication.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an open world medieval game that earned mixed reviews, but managed to build a dedicated following thanks to its hardcore gameplay, memorable characters, and engrossing story. Its sequel was far better-received, but Kingdom Come is admittedly an acquired taste, so subscribers can check out the first game through Game Pass to see if it’s something that’s up their alley or not.

Finally, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has been enjoying a renaissance of sorts thanks to the popularity of Avatar: Fire and Ash, fresh DLC, and the addition of a third-person viewpoint. Soon Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers will be able to test it out for themselves without actually having to buy the game.

It should also be noted that Avowed is joining the Premium tier of Game Pass on February 17. Avowed was one of the biggest day one Xbox Game Pass games of last year, and now those signed up for the lower tiers of the service will get to see what all the fuss is about.
