I’m drinking more water, grilling, planning my first trip to a pool, and starting to run the air conditioner. Memorial Day is over, and the Summer Vibes are here. It’s a time of the year when sometimes I want to be outside, but the heat keeps me in. But with one of this month’s free PS Plus games, the Xbox-published Grounded, I can experience my backyard in the cool comforts of my home office.
On May 26, PlayStation revealed February’s monthly games, which will be available to all PS Plus subscribers across all tiers. These games will be available to add to your PlayStation library permanently starting on June 2. Once added, you can install them and play them whenever you want as long as you remain an active PS Plus Essential, Extra, or Premium subscriber. Here’s the list of games and what platforms they are available on.

You don’t want to wait too long to grab these PS Plus monthly games, as they are only available to grab for free until July 6. After that, a new batch of not-yet-announced games will be made available to subscribers.
Wait a minute! EA Sports FC 26? Wasn’t that one of last month’s PS Plus freebies? Yes, it was. But it’s sticking around for another month. People don’t seem happy about it. I’m personally happy to see Grounded make the leap to PS Plus. I really enjoyed the game back on Xbox years ago, but never got a chance to play with anyone, as most of my friends game on PlayStation only. Hopefully I can convince them to overlook the giant spiders and other bugs, and we can all play this delightful survival sim about staying alive as tiny humans lost in a backyard.
Meanwhile, All-Star Brawl 2 is one of those games I’ll likely play with buds only because none of us has to pay for it. And for all you co-op shooter fans out there, Warhammer 40K: Darktide is a solid option. It might have launched in a so-so state, but it’s been patched up into a totally fine experience, especially if you don’t have to pay extra for it.
