Xbox consoles may soon get “Mythic Achievements” as a response to PlayStation’s Platinum Trophy system, according to a leak posted on social media. However, it is unclear when the potential feature will be available for Xbox console users to try out.
Mythic Achievements May Be Xbox’s Platinum Trophy Counterpart
Though leaks and rumors about Xbox’s potential feature plans should be taken with a grain of salt, a known Xbox content creator stated that a long-overdue feature may be heading to Microsoft’s ecosystem soon. According to Gamerscore record holder and content creator Ray “Stallion83” Cox on Twitter, a new feature called “Mythic Achievements” was spotted in the alpha skip-ahead ring of Xbox’s console firmware. Stallion83 guessed that Mythic achievements may be Microsoft’s answer to PlayStation’s Platinum Trophies, as he uncovered an option to filter game completion to see whether a title had a Mythic Achievement completed or not. However, the feature may still be a work-in-progress. The discovery came a month after Xbox CEO Asha Sharma stated that the company was considering a Platinum Trophy equivalent. Sharma stated that Microsoft planned to release it later in 2026, but did not elaborate further.
