Another weekend is almost here, which means another selection of Xbox Free Play Day games has arrived, too, with this week leaning toward Xbox Game Pass subscribers but still having two solid Free for All games. For those unaware, Xbox Free Play Days typically divides its free game selection into two categories: Free for All (so anyone with an Xbox console) or Free with Xbox Game Pass. The latter are not permanent new games for Xbox Game Pass, just temporary freebies.
Xbox Free Play Days grants access to a handful of games for free for a limited time, with these Xbox games available now until November 8. For those interested, links to each game (alongside other important details) are available below, but it’s worth noting the easiest way is to look them up on the Microsoft Store via an Xbox console OR by visiting the subscriptions tab on the Microsoft Store.
Xbox Free Play Days Free Games List (November 6 – November 8)
The two Xbox Free Play Day Free for All games are Crime Boss: Rockay City and Anno 117, with Ixion also available as a 2-hour free trial. The remaining games this weekend do require an Xbox Game Pass subscription, but include the following as freebies with a membership: Payday 3, Nowhere Prophet, Ball x Pit, Deceive Inc, and Age of Wonders 4.

Xbox Free Play Days for All – Crime Boss: Rockay City
Crime Boss: Rockay City is a first-person shooter that combines organized crime, heists, and territory management in a fictional Florida city inspired by the 1990s (and yes, its Florida-inspired setting is not necessarily ‘unlike’ GTA 6‘s Vice City). Players take on the role of Travis Baker, a criminal looking to become Rockay City’s new kingpin following the death of its previous crime boss. The game features a star-studded cast, including Michael Madsen, Chuck Norris, Danny Trejo, and Vanilla Ice, with gameplay centered around planning robberies, stealing valuables, recruiting crew members, and fighting rival gangs. While its single-player campaign features roguelike features, Crime Boss: Rockay City also supports cooperative multiplayer, allowing up to four players to work together on heists.

Xbox Free Play Days for All – Anno 117
The second Xbox Free Play Days for All game is Anno 117: Pax Romana, a city-building strategy game from Ubisoft. It takes players back to the Roman Empire in 117 AD, putting them in charge of developing and managing a growing Roman province. Players take on the role of a governor, building settlements, establishing trade routes, managing resources, and balancing the needs of different social classes while expanding their influence across the empire. Alongside its detailed city-building systems, Anno 117 includes diplomacy, military conflict, naval battles, and political decisions that shape the future of each province.

- Ixion (2-hour Trial) – The Tiqqun space station doubles as a city players have to keep running while searching for a new home for humanity in this sci-fi space colony simulator. Keeping the crew fed and the hull intact is a constant balancing act, especially when players are counting on what expeditions bring back
- Payday 3 – The Payday gang comes out of retirement in this co-op first-person shooter about pulling off heists across New York City. A job can start with your crew slipping past guards and end with everyone hauling bags of cash through a police assault
- Nowhere Prophet – Every follower you bring into battle is a card, and losing one for good can change how players approach the rest of a run. The single-player roguelike deckbuilding game sends convoys across a post-apocalyptic wasteland, where players recruit new allies and fight turn-based battles on a grid.
- Ball x Pit – Ball x Pit takes the ricochet shots of a brick breaker and puts them to work against waves of monsters, letting players fuse balls to combine their effects. It’s easily one of the most surprising and best games of 2025.
- Deceive Inc – The guard walking past players in Deceive Inc. could be another player in disguise, with both possibly trying to crack the same vault. This multiplayer spy game gives players gadgets and disguises to get close to the prize, but players still have to make it out with the package while rival agents try to intercept them.
- Age of Wonders 4 – This turn-based tactical 4X strategy lets players design a fantasy faction from scratch, reshaped with new magical research over the course of its campaign. On the world map, players expand their empire and deal with rival rulers, while clashes between armies play out in turn-based tactical battles.
