Through September 27, Xbox gamers are able to download and play 4 games at absolutely no charge thanks to a new limited-time promotion. It’s worth noting that there are some requirements for two of these games, including a necessary Xbox Game Pass subscription, but the other two are deemed Free for All, so anyone can download and check those out.
Xbox’s Free Play Days promotion goes live every Thursday, including anywhere from a game or two to 4+ regularly. They are not necessarily created equal or doled out equally. For example, it’s possible some weeks do not have Free for All games, but for those concerned about that, at least that’s not this weekend. That said, fans should be aware that they will have access to these Xbox games for a limited time, until September 27, and afterward they will no longer be available (sometimes discounts on these games are, though).
Xbox Free Play Days Game List (September 24-September 27)
Xbox’s Free Play Days Promotion for September 24-September 27 includes The Escapists 2 and Young Suns for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as well as PGA Tour 2K25 and The Division 2 for anyone and everyone. The easiest way to access these games is to navigate to the Microsoft Store on an Xbox, click on the subscriptions tab, and navigate down to the Xbox Free Play Days promotion (either on Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S). Xbox Free Play Days: The Escapists 2
The Escapists 2 turns prison escapes into a strategy and simulation game where players must learn prison routines, craft useful items, steal supplies, fight when necessary, and eventually find a way out. Multiple prisons provide different layouts and challenges, while the sandbox game on Xbox allows players to plan their escapes in different ways. The Escapists 2 also expands the original with multiplayer, supporting online and local co-op as well as competitive modes, making it possible to either work with other inmates or compete against them.

Xbox Free Play Days: Young Suns
Young Suns is an upcoming cozy sci-fi life sim set in the newly liberated space around Jupiter, where players explore moonlets, derelict ruins, and converted space stations from their own customizable spaceship. The game mixes exploration with resource gathering, repairing salvaged furniture and tools, decorating the ship, completing character quests, and helping the people living throughout the region. Young Suns supports solo play and seamless four-player co-op, with up to three friends able to join the same adventure while each player maintains their own progression. However, it’s worth noting that this specific Free Play Day Promotion is a Free Trial, letting players check out the game ahead of its November 2026 release date.
