Xbox has revealed an upcoming collaboration with Ikea, with furniture based on the brand. As one of the biggest companies in the video game industry, Xbox has had a number of unusual partnerships over the years. Sometimes that can lead to unique products, such as a 2021 collaboration with the American Girl toy line which featured Xbox-inspired doll clothing and furniture. There have even been working refrigerators released based on the Xbox Series X design.
Earlier in 2026, Xbox boss Asha Sharma revealed the company’s current priorities. One of those priorities was the need for connection, and specifically extending “the worlds that fans love.” Collaborations and unique merchandise seem to be one way the company aims at doing just that. Gamers often like finding ways to showcase the consoles and games that they’re passionate about.
Xbox Teams Up With Ikea to Release New Furniture
In a post on Instagram, Xbox shared a brief video highlighting branded furniture that will be released as part of a collaboration with Ikea. Two furniture items appear in the video, both of which are meant to evoke the Xbox controller. One of these items is an oversized thumbstick, which buyers can use as a stool. The trailer also shows a giant green-colored cushion, which is in the shape of a D-pad. A black variant of the D-pad cushion also seems to be planned.

Xbox and Ikea have yet to reveal full details about this new product line, but it’s likely that more information will be revealed soon. Xbox will have a presence at Gamescom, and it seems likely the full collaboration will be revealed at the show. It’s also possible that more products could be revealed, including items based on specific Xbox games and franchises.
