The reported delay traces back to a late-December 2025 leak outlining 10 Pokemon sets that LEGO was said to be preparing for a summer 2026 launch. Exactly half of the batch carried 721xx product numbers, while all 10 were described as part of the Danish toymaker’s new Smart Play line introduced in early 2026. Most of the leak—which originated from the ever-vigilant Brick Tap community—ultimately materialized, with only four of its products still waiting for an official reveal as of August 2026. Longtime LEGO leaker A Clay Brick reports that Scorbunny, Raboot, Cinderace, Croagunk, Larvitar, Vaporeon, Flareon, and Riolu are among the pocket monsters expected to appear in a 2027 wave of Smart Play sets. All eight are believed to belong to one of the four Smart Play products from the 2025 holiday season leak that remain unannounced as of today. In other words, those remaining sets “ended up being 2027 instead of 2026,” A Clay Brick wrote in an August 9 Instagram Story.
