3 More Xbox Game Pass Games Locked in for 2027

Three more games from 11 Bit Studios that are scheduled for release in 2027 have been secured for Xbox Game Pass, though their identities have yet to be revealed. Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service continues to build its future catalog with a mixture of major releases and smaller projects from third-party publishers.

Polish indie developer and publisher 11 Bit Studios is no stranger to the subscription service, having previously brought games such as Frostpunk 2 and The Alters to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on day one. Its publishing division has also delivered strong titles like Indika, Creatures of Ava, and Death Howl, establishing a catalog that frequently distinguishes itself with unconventional ideas and gameplay mechanics. From managing a city through an endless winter to surviving on a distant planet alongside alternate versions of oneself, the company’s games show a willingness to experiment across a broad range of concepts and genres. Its latest agreement with Microsoft suggests that this relationship will continue well into 2027.

November 15 is Going to Be a Sad Day for Xbox Game Pass Subscribers

Unfortunately, Xbox Game Pass subscribers are in for a particularly rough day come Sunday, November 15.

11 Bit Studios Confirms 3 More Xbox Game Pass Games for 2027

According to a Warsaw financial filing dated November 3, 2026, 11 Bit Studios has signed a new licensing agreement with Microsoft covering “three titles from the Company’s publishing portfolio” scheduled for release in 2027. The publisher will retain the rights to all three games, although their identities have not been disclosed. 11 Bit also declined to share the agreement’s financial terms or precise schedule, citing commercial confidentiality. While the deal officially confirms the titles will be available through Game Pass, it does not explicitly state whether subscribers can access them on their respective launch days, but history shows that 11 Bit is usually happy to have a day-one launch on the service.

11 Bit Studios itself is undergoing a period of significant change, making this Game Pass agreement a little more interesting. After canceling its unannounced Project 8 in December 2024, the company underwent further restructuring in 2026, resulting in approximately 20 additional layoffs. At the time, 11 Bit Studios explained that the changes were intended to better align its teams with a new production cycle. With the company placing greater emphasis on maintaining a consistent publishing schedule, its latest agreement with Microsoft could provide another opportunity to expand the reach of its upcoming projects.

Although nothing has been confirmed, several upcoming 11 Bit Studios publishing projects could potentially be included in the agreement. Among them is Crop, a farming thriller from Carbonara Games that combines traditional agricultural mechanics with psychological horror and is currently targeting 2027. Another possibility is Trainwatch, a psychological horror game from Harvester Games scheduled to launch on PC on March 10, 2027. There is also Volatiles, a top-down action roguelike from Team Instant Defeat that pits players against alien enemies, although its release window remains unconfirmed. Frostpunk 1886 could also be in the cards, as 11 Bit is both developing and publishing the upcoming remake of the 2018 original. Fans should note that none of these titles have been officially linked to the Game Pass agreement, and the three additions could ultimately be different games entirely.

Regardless of their identities, the additions would strengthen Xbox’s future Game Pass catalog, which already has several major releases lined up for 2027. RGG Studio’s Stranger Than Heaven is scheduled to arrive on January 15, followed by Playground Games’ highly anticipated Fable on February 23, with both titles serving as significant AAA day-one releases for the service in the first part of the year. Meanwhile, 11 Bit Studios’ typically smaller and more experimental projects could offer subscribers something different alongside those larger releases. It remains unclear exactly when the three mystery games will join Game Pass, but the new agreement suggests that Microsoft is on the hunt to secure plenty of third-party content well ahead of next year.
