81-Year-Old Minecraft Streamer Raising Cancer Money Swatted

81-Year-Old Minecraft Streamer Raising Cancer Money Swatted

Sue Jacquot, better known by her Twitch handle GrammaCrackers, has been livestreaming her attempt to beat Minecraft for over fifteen straight days now, in a bid to raise money for her 17-year-old grandson’s cancer treatment. You’d have to be some kind of heartless monster not to feel immediately supportive of such a noble goal, which is why it’s beyond grotesque that some unlovable goblin decided to swat GrammaCrackers in the early hours of May 19.

As detailed in an article by TheGamer, GrammaCrackers’ journey into the world of Twitch streaming and YouTube content creation began back in October 2025. Although she started with Minecraft, GrammaCrackers has since branched out into Rocket League and Roblox. She even managed to earn her first Victory Royale in Fortnite last month.

GrammaCrackers has always come back to Minecraft, however, at the behest of her extremely loyal and supportive followers on Twitch. To that end, on May 4, she took on her greatest challenge yet: a continuous, livestream titled “Not Ending Until I Beat Minecraft,” which is still going right now if you’re interested.

She’s not letting anything stop her from completing her task, which, unfortunately, now includes getting swatted live on stream. As GrammaCrackers explained in a video posted to her official YouTube channel, roughly 5 SWAT cars, 20 police cars, drones, and several officers armed to the teeth arrived at her property in the early hours of May 19. The officer subsequently breached her property and woke her up.

Sounds scary. GrammaCrackers is clearly made of much tougher stuff than I am, though, as she described the experience as “kinda fun.”

“Let me tell you about my swatting experience,” GrammaCrackers explained in her video. “I was asleep–I was so asleep, I did not wanna get up. These policemen came in the door…the prettiest policewoman I’ve ever seen–beautiful eyes, so sweet, but I think she could kick butt if she needed to…they walked me out, and I didn’t know what was going on, but it was kinda fun.”

“My grandkids and my kid, they were hugging me,” she continued. “You know, you can’t get that much attention normally. I was getting all kinds of hugs. I was really eating it up! It was kinda fun.”

I’m glad she’s taking the experience well, as she explained that she even enjoyed her ride in the cop car afterward, but I just want to reiterate that someone swatted an 81-year-old woman raising money for her teenage grandson’s cancer treatment. That’s almost a comically evil thing to do. I say “almost” because it’s actually so unfathomably evil that it just loops back around to being the regular kind of evil.

On the plus side, I can only hope that the attention this is getting online will earn GrammaCrackers some extra viewers and, in turn, some extra donations. On the other hand, it’s a shame that the US healthcare system is such a joke that an 81-year-old woman has to endure getting swatted on Twitch so she can help financially support her cancer-stricken grandson.
