Developer Kuro Games has shared the official trailer for Wuthering Waves and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners‘ crossover, confirming a release window for later in 2026. Wuthering Waves recently released its Version 3.3, and the open-world gacha has become increasingly popular among players since its launch in May 2024. As it approaches its second anniversary, the RPG has finally unveiled a first look at what is arguably its biggest collaboration yet.
In April 2025, Wuthering Waves and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners officially confirmed a crossover was in the works, with the developers stating that “characters from Night City will step into Solaris.” Many fans hoped that the crossover would launch during Wuthering Waves‘ Rinascita era in the 2.0 cycle. However, no further insight into the project was shared in the following months, though Kuro Games continued to reassure fans that the collaboration was still a reality. Now, over a year later, Wuthering Waves has confirmed when and which Cyberpunk: Edgerunners characters will join the RPG.

Wuthering Waves and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Reveal First Crossover Trailer
Wuthering Waves has revealed that its collaboration with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is coming in June 2026. The RPG has also confirmed that the fan-favorite characters Lucy and Rebecca join the playable roster as 5-Star Resonators. Additionally, players will be able to claim Rebecca for free. In the crossover’s first trailer, Lucy and Rebecca can be seen interacting with Rover, Lucilla, and other Wuthering Waves characters across Lahai-Roi. Their in-game combat style is also briefly showcased, with Lucy using her Monowire and Rebecca shooting her massive guns, a direct nod to their abilities in the anime. As exclusive units, fans will likely have to pull for Lucy and Rebecca on Wuthering Waves‘ limited banners, though Kuro Games has not confirmed their Element and weapon types yet.

The video has also teased the start point of the crossover’s storyline. Lucy and Rebecca have just entered the world of Solaris-3 and are known as Edgerunners. They will be able to return home once their mission is completed, and Lucy has “her sights set on the moon.” Finally, David Martinez’s back can be seen for a split second, gazing down at the world before his jacket flies off. Lucy and Rebecca are two of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners‘ strongest characters, so many fans were excited to learn that they will become playable soon. Kuro Games has asked fans to stay tuned for more details on the collaboration.
Wuthering Waves recently released Version 3.3 on April 29. If the game follows its usual patch schedule, the collaboration with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will coincide with Version 3.4, expected for release on June 8. It is still unclear how long Lucy and Rebecca’s banners will last. It remains to be seen how David Martinez will be involved in the Wuthering Waves‘ storyline as well.

Aside from its crossover with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, another exciting milestone is on the way for Kuro Games’ open-world title. Wuthering Waves is releasing on Xbox in July 2026, and exclusive Game Pass rewards have been confirmed for subscribers. The game’s Lahai-Roi cycle is still far from wrapping up, and several new characters are expected to debut in later patches, such as Lucilla.
