The Best Games Like Survivor To Play Now Season 50 Is Officially Over

The Best Games Like Survivor To Play Now Season 50 Is Officially Over

On May 20, 2026, Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans came to an end in a somewhat comical manner, with Jeff Probst revealing the winner before the announcement was meant to be made. While fairly far from one of Survivor‘s best seasons, 50 was still wildly entertaining, and its conclusion means the waiting period for the 51st entry is now underway. So, what better way to pass the time than to play a game with Survivor vibes?

Now, your first instinct is probably to think, “Is there a Survivor game?” However, the better question would be, “Is there a good Survivor game?” Unfortunately, the answer is “no,” so I’m not going to recommend you drop $25 on Castaway Island or take a trip through history and play a classic “so bad, it is just bad” title like Survivor: The Interactive Game. Instead, let’s focus on a few different types of games that capture elements associated with the reality show.

The Finals

Take Part In The Most Explosive TV Show Ever

I remember when Embark Studios launched The Finals, discourse arose regarding the game’s longevity. Well, 2.5 years later, the competitive shooter has done a great job of keeping its audience around, and it still averages around 10K players on Steam. Similar to Survivor, The Finals is a TV show where participants compete in the hope of earning fame and money. Unlike Survivor, this competition revolves around destruction and gunfire, along with emphasizing winning as a group, since players participate in teams of three and are not ultimately looking out just for number 1.

The Finals: Best Medium Weapons, Ranked

The best Medium weapons in The Finals Season 4 meta are well-rounded and heavily dominate competitive play.

To win a match, teams must locate physical Vaults, secure the cash boxes inside, and then carry them through an explosive warzone to a station where they can cash out. That isn’t it, though, as that team would then need to protect their riches from others that might try to steal them. Putting aside the game show premise, The Finals might not sound all that unique from my description, but its most defining feature is its adherence to full destruction. The physics are designed entirely around accommodating this part of the gameplay loop, and the three different classes all have their own brand of mayhem they excel at. Environmental destruction isn’t just background dressing but a core feature.

MadWorld

Take Part In The Bloodiest TV Show Ever

Bear with me for a second; I promise this article isn’t going to be just games set in violent TV shows. I don’t get to speak about Madworld often, so I need to take the opportunity. If The Finals sounds perfect except for the whole “playing with others” part, this Nintendo Wii classic is the ideal alternative. Not only is it single-player, but it was also handled by PlatinumGames, a developer that knows a thing or two about creating great combat systems. The old tech might be off-putting, but MadWorld has actually aged pretty well due to its stylish black and white (with red) visuals. To be honest, it might be the best-looking 2009 game in 2026.

While the story has quite a bit going on, the only thing you need to know is that you take part in a death game set on Jefferson Island, which is basically a big prison. In most levels, the protagonist (Jack) needs to execute bloody kills to accumulate enough points to take on the stage’s boss, and everything is being broadcast to an excitable public that wants to see the world painted red at all times. Is MadWorld that similar to Survivor? Probably not, but it is like a mad version of the show.

I’ll see myself out.

Among Us

Sci-Fi Survivor (Well, Sci-Fi Werewolf, Really)

OK, here is the most obvious game like Survivor that everyone expected to be in this type of article. Honestly, I almost skipped Among Us for that very reason, but there really isn’t a better recommendation. Putting aside real-life games like Blood on the Clocktower, Among Us is the absolute, unchallenged king of social deduction, and it still routinely pulls thousands of players despite being nearly a decade old. The concept is simple: You are locked in a space station with Impostors. Alternatively, you might be the impostor.

8 Games Where You’re the Last Survivor

From sleeping heroes waking up to engineers being in the wrong place, these games explore all manner of survivors.

While Crewmates are assigned roles and tasks to complete, Impostors must either try to sneakily kill off characters or create enough confusion so that a good person is nominated for death during an emergency meeting. The setting and mechanics might be extremely different, but Among Us‘s core social deduction loop is really similar to the tribal dynamics that arise during basically every Survivor season. There might be a lack of obstacles, but the Crewmates’ engineering tasks aren’t really that different; they just serve a purpose beyond the hidden killer angle.

Stranded Deep

The Survival Part of Survivor

Well, we can’t exactly end this list without recommending at least one survival game, can we? Players can mostly take their pick of about a billion survival games that are available on Steam and consoles; however, if we are talking about something that really feels inspired by early Survivor, Stranded Deep is the best pick.

Stranded Deep doesn’t have a competitive edge like the show, so if you are looking for that type of experience, go with Among Us or The Finals.

Stranded Deep is about surviving in the Pacific Ocean after a plane crash leaves you drifting on a raft. Before long, you will find a tropical island, which is when the survival part truly begins. There are no supernatural mysteries or any real gimmicks; this is simply pure survival. The environment constantly presents a danger, as you need to find ways to protect yourself from the sun and means to find food that is actually safe to eat. Eventually, you will strip your island of resources, forcing you to build a raft and head to other islands to start the process again.
