Xbox Game Pass has added Final Fantasy 6 and Jurassic World Evolution 3 to its ever-rotating content library. These first June arrivals mark the 91st and 92nd titles to join the service in 2026, but what follows afterward is unclear because the next Xbox Game Pass lineup has yet to be announced, breaking with an eight-month pattern.
Throughout the first five months of 2026, Microsoft had generally announced new lineups for its subscription service on Tuesdays, with only one exception: the Xbox Game Pass Wave 2 lineup for April was revealed on a Monday. As a result, every Wave 1 announcement this year fell on the first Tuesday of the month—until today.
Xbox Game Pass Just Confirmed 2 More Games for June 2026
Two more Xbox Game Pass titles lock down June 2026 release dates, with the service now having ten confirmed games for next month.
First Xbox Game Pass June 2026 Games Are Here, But the Full Wave 1 Lineup Reveal Is Not
Jurassic World Evolution 3 and Final Fantasy 6 were officially added to Xbox Game Pass on June 2. Debuting around midnight local time, the two games mark the month’s first arrivals to the service. As usual, the first monthly additions had already been announced as part of the Wave 2 Xbox Game Pass lineup for the previous month. However, breaking with recent patterns, they were not followed by an Xbox Wire post announcing the Wave 1 lineup for the current month.
Although Tuesday is not yet over as of this writing, new lineup reveals usually happen in the morning ET hours, which have already passed. That makes it unlikely that this month’s roadmap will be announced before Wednesday, June 3. A midweek lineup announcement has not happened for eight months, since last fall, when Microsoft revealed both the Wave 1 and Wave 2 Xbox Game Pass slates for October 2025 on a Wednesday.

Regarding today’s additions, Final Fantasy 6 marks the sixth entry in the JRPG franchise to reach Xbox Game Pass in as many months. Whether this trend continues remains to be seen, as all entries added so far were part of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster collection, which only covers the first half a dozen mainline installments in the series. That said, a port of the original Final Fantasy 7 is already available on the Xbox Store, so extending this streak a little longer would be straightforward from a technical standpoint.

(Some) Xbox Game Pass June 2026 Departures Are Already Confirmed
While the Wave 1 June 2026 lineup announcement is still nowhere to be seen, Microsoft has already quietly confirmed some of its removals via the Xbox app. There are five of them in total: Splitgate: Arena Reloaded, TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, Warhammer 40k: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Lost in Random: The Eternal Die. All five will leave on June 15, 2026. Historically, Xbox app updates have not been the most comprehensive source of upcoming removals, meaning the June 2026 Wave 1 lineup could reveal even more titles leaving the service.
