God of War Laufey Cast Revealed

God of War Laufey is the next main series God of War game, and we now know who will be playing who in the highly-anticipated release. God of War Laufey was the last big reveal of the latest PlayStation State of Play event, with Sony showing off about 20 minutes of gameplay. The God of War Laufey gameplay presentation looked fantastic, but the game did not got a release window announcement at the show.

God of War Laufey‘s gameplay showcase laid the groundwork for the story, with Faye/Laufey waking up in a strange land after her apparent death and funeral to fight dead gods in the afterlife. Faye isn’t alone in her adventure, and will be joined by various supporting characters on her journey. Most other story details are being kept secret for now, but we do know who is playing the various characters in God of War Laufey.

Santa Monica Studio’s Cory Barlog finally comments on the recent God of War leaks and rumors, and it doesn’t sound like he’s happy.

God of War Laufey Cast List (So Far)

Laufey/Faye – Deborah Ann Woll
Phranque – Jack Quaid
Rue – Perlina Lau

The titular Laufey/Faye is played by Deborah Ann Woll, reprising the role from previous God of War games. Woll is perhaps best known for her time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Karen Page, appearing in the original Netflix Daredevil series, various Punisher projects, The Defenders, and the acclaimed reboot Daredevil: Born Again. Her two primary companions in the game are a magic ribbon named Rue and a cosmic cube named Phranque, played by Perlina Lau and Jack Quaid, respectively.

Perlina Lau is a producer and actress who has appeared in TV series like Friday Night Bites and Creamerie. Jack Quaid, meanwhile, is best known for his role as Hughie in The Boys, which just recently aired its series finale. Quaid’s first major film role was in The Hunger Games, and in the last five years he’s appeared in Scream (2022), Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Oppenheimer, Companion, and Novocaine, among other projects.

God of War Laufey will have a variety of villains for Faye and her companions to contend with, with gods Sekhmet and Begtse specifically highlighted in the gameplay presentation. Unfortunately, it wasn’t revealed who will be playing those characters in the game, so fans will have to wait for more information on that front. There will likely be other villains featured in God of War Laufey as well, so there is still plenty more to learn about the game.

Kratos and Atreus were both spotted in the God of War Laufey gameplay presentation, and they will presumably be played by Christopher Judge and Sunny Suljic again, though it’s unclear if their appearances will strictly use old material or feature new recordings. A lot is being kept underwraps when it comes to God of War Laufey, and so fans will have to wait for more info. A specific release window wasn’t announced, but it’s believe God of War Laufey will be released within the next couple of years.
