Pam’s Colecovision was her babysitter, from the age of 4 or 5, but the family only had one game. Over and over, hour after hour, she’d climb and jump through the three levels of Donkey Kong. During the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7, Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja revealed Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, the upcoming sequel to the underrated Soulslike Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Released in 2023, Fallen Dynasty is a hack-and-slash action RPG set in second-century China during the Yellow Turban Rebellion. Now fans of the first game will be able to jump back into the war-torn Three Kingdoms era with Wo Long 2.

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember Drops in 2027
The Xbox Game Showcase took place in June as part of the Summer Game Fest 2026, and during the event a trailer was dropped for the Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember. The upcoming sequel to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasy is slated for an early 2027 release for not only Xbox but also PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Members of Microsoft’s gaming subscription service will also be pleased to know that Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one.
