Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Reveals New Missions and Updated Hideout

Ubisoft provides a deep dive of the changes to missions as well as how the Great Inagua hideout has evolved in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. One of the worst kept secrets was the existence of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced after all of the rumors and leaks exposed the title before Ubisoft was ready to announce it. However, once it was officially confirmed earlier this year, it hasn’t reduced the excitement of fans eagerly anticipating a return to the Caribbean.

While keeping the original experience largely intact, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced appears to be a true remake. Featuring overhauled visuals thanks to being rebuilt within the Anvil Engine, Resynced is able to take advantage of modern technological features like enhanced lighting, dynamic weather, 4K/60 FPS, and reduced loading. Parkour and stealth have also been reworked completely, combat has been improved, and fans will likely notice that the naval gameplay has been expanded with more options to take advantage of.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Introduces ‘Adaptive Enemies’

Ubisoft reveals new details regarding the combat side of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, including the addition of new adaptive enemies.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Brings Back Great Inagua

Following in the footsteps of previous games in the series, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag also had a homestead where players could go and build it up by spending money they’ve earned. Each upgrade made to the Hideout on Great Inagua would give Edward Kenway benefits in the world. For Resynced, Ubisoft is expanding upon Edward’s hideout functionality to help bring the location to life and offer players a greater feeling of progression. The village on Great Inagua will continue to improve as the isle is upgraded both visually and making the location feel more lived in with more activity, even bringing unique NPCs to the island like Milo van der Graaff and the butler, Bernard Woodhouse.

VBeteran players will likely recall some of the purchasable upgrades available to them from the original game, such as the Campfire, Harbormaster, and Tavern among others. While each unlocked new gameplay features, Ubisoft has further expanded upon the available options. In the original game, players could purchase a General Store to unlock the ability to buy and sell items, decorations, and more. In Resynced, the General Store now has three levels ofd progression which not only improves the items in stock, but the visual appearance significantly changes based on the purchased level of the store. Players also have new upgrades to purchase which weren’t available in the previous game, such as the Fisherman’s Wharf and Treasure Dealer.

The post also goes into great detail regarding new missions that players can experience within Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. Ubisoft has already teased a new ending for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, but the developers have also expanded upon other characters like Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet as well. In addition, players will be able to recruit 3 brand-new officers for the Jackdaw in Resynced, though to unlock them, they’ll need to tackle special missions. Two in particular will become available to recruit after Great Inagua has been unlocked, while the third will become available to recruit closer to the endgame portion of Resynced.

Finally, Ubisoft delved deeper into its missions and how some of them have evolved from the original game. Fans have already seen how stealth missions have improved in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, no longer instantly failing when discovered from tailing missions, but in terms of Templar Hunts and Contracts, Ubisoft has reworked these as well to improve the narrative elements and better fit with the reworked stealth and parkour. Players can even skip time to set the time of day in the world to best suit their needs, going into stealth under the cover of darkness, or maybe taking on a mission during sunset for a little visual flair.
