Steam users looking for a new co-op party game with an ultra violent twist have a new release to look forward to on July 30. Machine Party is a new Steam game that mixes Mario Party mini-games with the Saw movies to create a brutal multiplayer experience. The features online co-op for 2–4 players, character customization, and a collection of uniquely violent mini-games for players to suffer through.
Co-op games on Steam have really blown up in recent years, with the “friendslop” genre gaining traction with games like Lethal Company, Peak, and Meccha Chameleon most recently topping Steam charts. Many of these games feature hilarious and over-the-top gameplay that makes them perfect for enjoying with a group of friends. Soon, Steam users will get access to what may be the next viral co-op sensation when Machine Party launches in just a couple of weeks.
Violent Steam Party Game Machine Party Releases July 30
In a new trailer released by developers Mike Klubnika and GDeavid, Machine Party confirms its official July 30 release date. This intense party game comes from the same creator as another violent viral indie game, Buckshot Roulette, where players play Russian Roulette with a 12-guage shotgun against a demonic Dealer. Machine Party doubles-down on the intensity of Buckshot Roulette by expanding the types of mini-games available and expanding the fun to 4-player co-op.
Machine Party is a collection of violent party games where failure is lethal. Gather your friends and endure high stakes situations to prove your life is worth more than theirs. Survival is unlikely.

Looking like something straight out of Jigsaw’s playbook of traps in the Saw movies, Machine Party features mini-games that will have players competing to survive some brutal traps and challenges. In the trailer for Machine Party, players can be seen trying to survive a room full of spinning buzz saws, copy the correct block shape or risk being shot by a gatling gun, duck for cover from a sniper, and many other ridiculously gruesome mini-games.

While a horror-themed Mario Party game seems like a strange blend of genres, Machine Party brings a particular gritty industrial vibe that should appeal to fans of Klubnika’s previous work, like Buckshot Roulette and S.P.L.I.T. The developer notes that Machine Party started life as a project where the team created just five mini-games a month to see if it was something they wanted to fully flesh out. Apparently, the developers had so much fun creating and playing these mini-games that they wanted to see the game completed.
The total number of mini-games featured in Machine Party hasn’t been confirmed yet. However, there seems to be a very wide variety of game styles just based on the trailers for Machine Party alone, which showcase everything from assembling firearms in a factory, and smoking cigarettes as fast as possible, to running across minefields, dodging trains, eating peas competitively, and even more. Machine Party looks like the perfect pick-up and play game for friend groups looking for a horror co-op experience.
