The Epic Games Store has officially revealed its third free game for September 2026: Alone With You. The somber sci-fi indie adventure will mark the platform’s 64th weekly freebie since the beginning of the year, with all but 59 of those being games and the rest being Epic Games Store DLC packs.
Epic gave away 46 free games throughout the first half of 2026, with the first and second quarters each getting 23. The quarterly count is sitting at 16 as of this writing, having most recently been raised by Breathedge and Rival Stars Horse Racing becoming temporarily free for Epic Games Store users on August 27. The final two freebies of the month replaced nostalgic retro RPG Cardpocalypse, which was free since the 20th.

Coming From the Solo Developer of Home and Worse Than Death
As soon as the Epic Games Store’s Cardpocalypse giveaway came to an end on August 27, the platform announced the one for the following week, which will center on Alone With You, a 2016 genre hybrid from indie developer Benjamin Rivers, best known for the 2012 pixel art horror game Home. Alone With You is a much gentler experience, combining 16-bit graphics, a bittersweet sci-fi narrative, light exploration and puzzle-solving, and visual novel-style conversations. Regularly priced at $9.99, Alone With You will be available for exactly $0 on the Epic Games Store from September 3 through 10, beginning and ending at 11 a.m. ET.
