Popular Reddit builder Minute_Food_2881 shared their impressive LEGO alternate build of the Tails’ Tornado-1 Sonic set, transforming the plane into the iconic X-wing from the Star Wars franchise. It’s extremely cool to see how creative they’ve been in bringing the build to life, including using the Egg Chaser head as the Astromech droid in the X-wing. They also put the Tails minifigure in the pilot seat of the colorful red and yellow X-wing, and place it on a stand to help it stay upright.

On the page, Minute_Food_2881 (also known as CreationCaravan on Rebrickable) revealed that the build uses only pieces from the LEGO Sonic Tails’ Tornado-1 set, with no extras needed. They do use spare parts that are already in the box, using 270 pieces in total. According to CreationCaravan, the build is both “swooshable and sturdy.”
