The Diablo franchise has reached a major milestone in 2026, with Blizzard celebrating 30 years since the series first sent players into the depths of Hell, and the celebration around Diablo 4 continues with 57 free cosmetic DLC items for some players. Meanwhile, the 30th anniversary of Diablo has given the company plenty of opportunities to look back at the games that built the franchise, while also setting the stage for what comes next.
Perhaps the biggest in-game celebration of that anniversary is Diablo 4‘s Season of Hell’s Legacy, also known as Season 15, which launched on September 15. The new season is built around the franchise’s history, including Deckard Cain, bringing back the Prime Evils (including Diablo himself), adding Nightmare Rifts, and giving players anniversary rewards to collect while returning to Sanctuary. And now Xbox Game Pass subscribers can claim a little more.

Diablo 4 players on Xbox (who have an Xbox Game Pass subscription) can now claim 57 cosmetic items through the service for September. While Xbox Game Pass is required to get these cosmetics for free, it’s worth noting that this is not a typical Xbox Game Pass addition and is not permanent. Available through the “My Benefits” section of the Xbox Game Pass app, the bundle includes 57 cosmetic items for the Xbox and PC versions, including six armor sets, themed weapon and body marking accessories, and a White Wildcat mount for Diablo 4.

The bundle can be claimed by linking an Xbox account with a Battle.net account and then logging into Diablo 4. Blizzard has not said how long the Game Pass benefit will remain available, with most indications that it is only through the end of September, so players interested in the cosmetics may want to claim them while they are still listed.

Of course, celebrations don’t last forever, but the cosmetics find themselves joining at a good time, a natural freebie for Xbox Game Pass users. It might even bring some players back, letting them use the cosmetic new armor sets, weapons, markings, and mounts while taking on the season’s new content, like the not-so-lovely Prime Evils. But Diablo 4 is also not the end of Blizzard’s plans for the franchise’s 30th anniversary.
Blizzard recently announced Diablo 5, giving the series another major chapter to look forward to as the anniversary celebration continues. Details are scarce, but fans know that Diablo has overtaken Sanctuary, that new classes like the Plague Knight are planned, and that it is aiming to release in Spring 2029, meaning there’s plenty of reason to enjoy Diablo 4‘s seasonal content still. For now, though, Diablo 4 is carrying much of that franchise attention, with Season of Hell’s Legacy and the new Game Pass bundle giving players another reason to return to Sanctuary.
