Grave Seasons, the highly anticipated farming sim with a dark twist, has finally received an official release date. Grave Seasons is officially set to launch on March 9, 2027, when it’ll land on PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.
Announced in 2023 and then fully unveiled last May, Grave Seasons garnered immediate interest thanks in no small part to its seemingly Stardew Valley-inspired pixelated art style and farming/social sim gameplay. A month after its reveal, developer Perfect Garbage put a 2026 release window on Grave Seasons, and in March of this year it was given an official August 14, 2026 release date. In June, however, Grave Seasons was delayed to the Fall. But now, fans finally have a concrete release date for Grave Seasons, though it’s a little later than some were expecting.
Grave Seasons Gets a March 9, 2027 Release Date
Announced via a Steam community post, Grave Seasons is officially releasing on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on March 9, 2027. This new release date is seven months later than Grave Seasons‘ original August 2026 window, and around five months after its subsequent Fall window.

In its latest release date announcement, Grave Seasons’ developer Perfect Garbage sheds some light on why its horror farming sim is receiving yet another delay. In the words of Perfect Garbage itself, “porting a game to consoles is tough.” While the studio has already “tackled some very important changes” that help to optimize Grave Seasons‘ console ports, such as adding a radial menu for controller, the team reportedly still needs time to ensure that the upcoming ports are well-polished. Perfect Garbage has also brought on an unnamed partner studio to help with the porting process.
While fans will certainly be disappointed at the sight of another delay, Perfect Garbage does seem confident that Grave Seasons won’t miss another release date. In the community post, the developer confirms that Grave Seasons is now content complete, and that the PC build is locked. That means that the developer is spending the next five or so months focused solely on Grave Seasons‘ console ports, and ensuring that all versions of the game are optimized, polished, and as bug-free as possible.
For those unaware, Grave Seasons‘ core premise puts a murderous twist on the usual cozy farming game formula. Assuming the role of an escaped convict, players travel to the small town of Ashenridge, where they’re quickly thrust into the middle of a series of supernatural killings. Over the course of one in-game year, players must sow seeds, harvest crops, craft items, and investigate the various townsfolk of Ashenridge to determine who the killer could be. Each death, decision, and indecision leads to a new storyline, and each playthrough presents players with a different narrative surrounding an all-new killer.
