Then, Reboot Vans were introduced, allowing gamers to bring back fallen teammates if they hadn’t expired too long before and if they had picked up their Reboot Card. Later on, Epic Games made it so players could even simply purchase Reboot Cards at a van and easily bring back teammates. How to Find the Self-Revive Device in Fortnite

The Self-Revive Device is exactly what it sounds like: an item that revives players once their health drops down to zero HP – whether that’s due to enemy fire, fall damage, or storm damage. It’s a life-saving device, and it doesn’t even take up an inventory slot.

This device is an extremely powerful asset to have in Fortnite, which is why it is considered a Legendary-rarity item. Players will almost certainly have a difficult time finding a Self-Revive Device, as there are only a few ways to obtain them.

Mending Machine

Mending Machines are a type of vending machine that can be found all across the map. Each Mending Machine sells up to three Self-Revive Devices, but they are quite costly. Players will need to spend 2,500 gold to purchase a Self-Revive Device at a Mending Machine.

Care Packages

Loot Care Packages are one of the Rift events that may take place during a Fortnite match. If players get a Rift event notification on the right side of their screen letting them know that Care Packages are being dropped onto the island, they should immediately open their map and look for the one that is closest to them.

Care Packages are a type of Supply Drop in Fortnite. Inside, players will find a Self-Reviving Device and a couple of other useful items.

Rare Chests

There is a chance that two Self-Revive Devices could appear when players open a Rare Chest in Fortnite. However, this has a completely random chance of happening.

How to Self-Revive in Fortnite

If players have a Self-Revive device in their inventory, they will not immediately be eliminated while knocked down. Instead, their character will start to revive themselves using the device. This works even if they’re playing Solo.

It takes 10 seconds for the Self-Revive Device to bring the player back – just like it would any other teammate. However, during this time, players are still vulnerable and can be eliminated. This item is particularly useful if players are targeted from afar or are able to hide from their attacker right after.

Similar to being revived by a teammate, players’ health will be set to 30 HP after being brought back to life with the Self-Revive Device. Here is a demonstration of this device in action:
