PC Gamers Have 3 Free Games to Claim Right Now

PC Gamers Have 3 Free Games to Claim Right Now

PC gamers currently have three free games to claim for their digital libraries, but they need to act fast if they want them. Between Steam, the Epic Games Store, and other digital storefronts, PC gamers constantly have new free games to claim, but the giveaways typically don’t last very long.

On the Epic Games Store front, the free games are usually available for one week at a time. There are exceptions to this rule, though, like when the Epic Games Store free mystery game promotion is live. Whenever that happens, the free games are almost always only up for grabs for one day at a time. Free Steam games are unpredictable when it comes to how long they will be free for, so PC gamers just need to make sure that they are keeping an eye out for any free game opportunities.

Brand-New Steam Game for 2026 is Completely Free-to-Play and Has ‘Very Positive’ Reviews

If players are looking to kick off their 2026 with a new release, this Steam title is worth a look — and its lack of price tag only sweetens the deal.

At the time of this writing, PC gamers have three free games to claim. On the Epic Games Store, stealth games Styx: Master of Shadows and Styx: Shards of Darkness are free, and will remain free until Thursday, January 22 at 10:00am CST. Over on Steam, PC gamers have until January 18 at 12:00pm CST to snag Initial Drift Online for free.

List of Free PC Games Right Now

For those that may be unfamiliar with the games, Initial Drift Online is an online multiplayer racing game that is set in Japan and themed around drifting. Like other racing games, customizing cars and buying new rides is a big part of the appeal. Anyone interested in adding Initial Drift Online to their collection has to do so by January 18 at 12:00pm CST. At that point, Initial Drift Online will no longer be free, and it’s anyone’s guess as to when the next free Steam game might come along.

The two games currently free on the Epic Games Store are the previously mentioned Styx: Master of Shadows and Styx: Shards of Darkness. Fantasy stealth games, both titles earned relatively mixed reviews at the time of their original release. However, you can’t beat free, and there’s a brand-new Styx game releasing soon (Styx: Blades of Greed, scheduled to launch on February 19), so PC gamers willing to use the Epic Games Store shouldn’t miss this chance to add the games to their digital libraries.

What is the Next Epic Games Store Free Game?

  • Rustler (Epic Games Store) – January 22 – January 29

Unless a free mystery game promotion is going on, the Epic Games Store typically gives fans a week’s notice about what the next free game will be. Because of this, we know what free game will replace Styx: Master of Shadows and Styx: Shards of Darkness. On Thursday, January 22 at 10:00am CST when the two Styx games are cycled out of the free game window, Rustler will be up for grabs.

Rustler has been described as a medieval GTA, with a top-down view similar to the older games in Rockstar’s open world crime series. Rustler earned mixed-to-negative reviews when it first released in 2021, but there’s no harm trying it out for free when it comes to the Epic Games Store on January 22.
