ARC Raiders Announces New PvE Event for February 10

ARC Raiders Announces New PvE Event for February 10

Embark Studios has announced a new ARC Raiders event called Shared Watch, set to kick off on February 10 with a focus on the game’s PvE elements. Since its launch in 2025, ARC Raiders has kept its gameplay loop fresh through rotating map conditions and limited-time events. However, this appears to be the first special event that specifically asks players to partner with strangers.

As a PvPvE game, ARC Raiders gives players the freedom to decide how they interact with the world and other raiders. They can be hostile toward Speranza citizens or treat them as allies. However, the upcoming Shared Watch event seems designed to shift that balance by encouraging players to focus on teamwork and teaming up with others.

ARC Raiders CEO Addresses Matchmaking Controversy

Embark Studios’ CEO comments on the controversy surrounding ARC Raiders’ aggression-based matchmaking system, which many players are divided over.

ARC Raiders Announces the Shared Watch Event

  • Start Date: February 10
  • End Date: February 24
  • Focus: PvE

Announced via a short clip on Twitter, ARC Raiders‘ Shared Watch event will run from February 10 through February 24. Based on what has been revealed so far, PvE appears to be at the center of Shared Watch. “You watch my back, I’ll watch yours,” the official Embark Studios statement begins, adding, “team up with strangers, turn your barrels on the machines, and earn rewards in the process.”

The clip shows two raiders teaming up mid-match to take down ARC enemies, revive each other, and even play music using ARC Raiders‘ instruments. This has sparked fan theories suggesting that Shared Watch could allow solo players to form duo teams with strangers. Others have speculated that the event may be tied to a photo mode, as the teaser is notably more artistic than some previous clips. The latter seems unlikely, though, as the event’s description clearly tasks players with teaming up to take down ARC machines, rather than simply creating memorable moments.

Many ARC Raiders Players are Unhappy About the Shared Watch Event

A quick look at ARC Raiders‘ social media accounts shows hundreds of comments criticizing the lack of a dedicated PvE mode. Some players have even claimed that Embark Studios is adding Shared Watch as a pseudo-PvE mode meant to discourage PvP. In recent days, fans have also complained that ARC Raiders‘ matchmaking is no longer as effective, with friendly players increasingly placed in lobbies full of hostile raiders.

Others have criticized Shared Watch for giving PvP-focused players a new way to abuse social interactions. One fan wrote, “I can see a lot of PvP players asking to team up just to shoot you in the back.” Similar concerns have spread across the community, with many once again urging Embark Studios to add dedicated non-PvP modes instead of relying on limited-time events like Shared Watch.

February 10 Also Marks the Return of a Popular Mode

Recently, Embark Studios revealed that ARC Raiders‘ Cold Snap map condition is returning on February 10. With the Shared Watch event also scheduled for the same day, players will have two notable changes to look forward to.

After the Shared Watch event, ARC Raiders‘ next major event will be the second Expedition project.
