New Cyberpunk Game on Steam is Completely Free to Play

D1AL-ogue, a new cyberpunk puzzle game on Steam with cozy vibes, has already earned 95% positive reviews from players, and the best part is that it’s completely free to play. Developed by indie studio CherryPicker and published by Jungle Game Lab, D1AL-ogue launched on Steam on February 5, 2026, and has since drawn in hundreds of cozy puzzle fans who also have a soft spot for cyberpunk themes.

There is no shortage of free-to-play options on Steam across nearly every genre. However, finding games that are actually worth a player’s time and do not rely on aggressive microtransactions is much harder. That said, Steam’s new cyberpunk title D1AL-ogue seems to have struck the right balance, offering a genuinely free experience that is also engaging and fun.

PC Gamers Can Claim 3 Certified Classics for Free and Keep Them Forever, Plus a Bonus Historical Game

PC gamers can claim three games for absolutely free that are a walk through the industry’s history, with another historical game on top of that.

D1AL-ogue Is a Free-to-Play Cozy Puzzle Game in a Cyberpunk Universe

Fans can download and play D1AL-ogue on Steam at no cost, though it is still unclear whether publisher Jungle Game Lab plans to add any paid content in the future. For now, players have access to the full game with no microtransactions, which should come as welcome news for fans of Steam freebies.

When it comes to user reviews, D1AL-ogue appears to be especially popular among cozy puzzle game fans. The game currently holds a 95% positive rating and has received more than 700 user reviews at the time of writing. Players have praised its retro-inspired, cyberpunk visuals, along with the detailed storylines and the gameplay that emphasizes precise decision-making while relying on fairly simple mechanics.

D1AL-ogue‘s story follows a repairman as he works to set up a patch-up clinic for robots in a cyberpunk district known as Chroma City. He is tasked with identifying the technical issues of sentient robots called Electronic Vital Entities (E.V.E.s) and synthesizing their broken units. Each customer brings a unique encounter and deeper lore, which is shared with the player through text-based dialogue.

As for the gameplay, D1AL-ogue revolves around a circular puzzle system referred to as the D1AL. Players rotate different sections of the circle to align modules of the same color, but careful planning is required since the device runs on a battery that can overheat. On top of that, E.V.E.s need synthesized units placed in specific parts of their core, meaning simply matching same-color tiles is not enough to solve each puzzle.

Some players have noted that certain exchanges between customers and the player can be slightly suggestive and may not be suitable for all ages. However, the game does not appear to feature any explicit sexual content.

D1AL-ogue Gameplay Features at a Glance

  • Story mode with several interesting characters
  • Color-matching puzzles
  • Retro pixel-art style
  • Relaxing soundtracks

VA-11 Hall-A Fans Need to Check Out D1AL-ogue

Fans of cyberpunk games on Steam may already be familiar with VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action, a 2016 indie title that has earned a 97% positive rating from more than 30,000 user reviews. VA-11 Hall-A puts players in the role of a bartender, crafting drinks for various customers in a futuristic setting while uncovering details about their daily lives through a branching narrative.

Players who enjoyed VA-11 Hall-A are likely to find plenty to like in D1AL-ogue as well, as the two share similar themes and narrative beats. D1AL-ogue also gives off serious Coffee Talk vibes, another cozy game centered on meeting new people while serving them as a barista.

In recent years, Steam has seen a rise in low-quality “AI slop,” with many of these titles released as free-to-play games. Fortunately, D1AL-ogue does not fall into that category. Its Steam page clearly states, “All resources used in the game are either 100% hand-crafted or licensed assets.”

D1AL-ogue faced mild backlash from users before its official launch for using AI-generated background music. The developer later apologized to the fan base and replaced all tracks with high-quality music from asset stores and royalty-free libraries.

It’s also worth noting that D1AL-ogue‘s publisher, Jungle Game Lab, actually released it alongside seven other free-to-play indie games on February 5. And almost all of them currently have positive reviews on Steam. For those interested, the full list includes: In My Bubble, Be Queen Bee, EXE.CUTOR, Spacetime Shooter, Trust Me I Nailed It, Cartapli: Fold Quest, and No Mana Just Dice.
