A New Infinite Damage Build Has Hit Borderlands 4

A New Infinite Damage Build Has Hit Borderlands 4

The release of Borderlands 4‘s first Story Pack DLC, Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned, has introduced the first post-launch Vault Hunter to the game. C4SH, the Rogue, is the first playable robot Vault Hunter in Borderlands 4, and features a kit that largely relies on luck and manipulating that luck to the player’s advantage. As players have had a chance to really dive into the new Vault Hunter’s skill trees and the DLC’s new gear, an extremely powerful C4SH build has emerged, and it’s capable of dealing infinite damage when set up correctly.

Although Borderlands 4‘s new DLC has been controversial among fans, largely for its content-to-price ratio, most players are finding C4SH to be the standout addition of the expansion. The new Vault Hunter’s three Action Skills include Cross-Fire, which allows C4SH to wield his dual revolvers, Sleight of Hand, which lets C4SH unleash random effects via cards, and Cleromancy, which lets C4SH roll his Bone Dice and summon a Bone Totem based on the outcome. It’s the latter of these skills, along with C4SH’s unique Windfall trait, that allows Borderlands 4 players to achieve infinite damage with the Vault Hunter.

“A Little Stressful” Borderlands 4 Dev Discusses Lingering PC Performance Issues

Borderlands 4 developers discuss the game’s current state and admit that fixing lingering PC issues has been a somewhat stressful experience.

C4SH Has an Infinite Damage Build in Borderlands 4

Borderlands 4 is no stranger to infinite damage builds, as the game launched with an infinite damage build for Vex that utilized her ability to stack bleed on enemies with her Bloodletter skill and a Throwing Knife with the Penetrator Augment. This infinite bleed build for Vex was actually the result of an unintended interaction that was eventually patched out of Borderlands 4. Now, with the release of Story Pack 1, another infinite bleed build is possible using a combination of C4SH’s skills and new Class Mod.

C4SH’s infinite bleed build in Borderlands 4 was originally discovered by Reddit user Ancient_Rune, who shared a video of the damage scaling in action to the game’s subreddit. In the video, C4SH can be seen perpetually damaging enemies with very few user inputs necessary, racking up millions in damage as a result. Any Borderlands 4 players who got a chance to use Vex’s infinite bleed build during its heyday will likely notice the similarities between the two, demonstrating just how overpowered bleed can be in Borderlands 4.

It’s unclear if these bleed interactions are an intentional part of C4SH’s gameplay or not, so Borderlands 4 players should use it before it gets nerfed.

How to Achieve C4SH’s Infinite Damage Build

  • Gamer Class Mod
  • Cleromancy Action Skill
  • The Wilds Passive

C4SH’s infinite bleed build is largely based on its ability to proc bleed when landing critical hits. To do this, players will need C4SH’s Gamer Class Mod, which allows the Vault Hunter to inflict bleed on enemies whenever he crits them. Killing an enemy with a crit while it’s bleeding also lets C4SH spawn a Chaos Totem, essentially giving players another source of damage with the potential to crit and inflict another stack of bleed. So, the gameplay loop becomes activating as many sources of bleed as possible to keep ramping up C4SH’s crit source with new Totems to then inflict more bleed in a never-ending loop.

To further add to C4SH’s crit potential, players should invest in his Cleromancy Action Skill, which allows C4SH to keep more Totems active on the field and increases the chance of a crit proccing bleed. C4SH’s green skill tree will provide this build with its most important skills, such as The Wilds, a Passive that inherits damage source from C4SH, meaning that it can inflict its own instance of bleed as well. The result is a build that can stack bleed from a variety of different sources very quickly, damaging enemies constantly and exponentially to the point where players won’t have to do much else but stand back and watch health bars melt.
