Legacy of the Dark Knight Reveals Updated PC System Requirements

Legacy of the Dark Knight Reveals Updated PC System Requirements

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight developer TT Games claims that the PC version of the upcoming title will no longer require 32 GB of RAM, as originally stated. Although the game will still have some steep requirements to meet the recommended settings, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight should be playable on more machines.

Originally revealed during the 2025 edition of Gamescom, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is an action game with some comedic moments to balance out the dramatic plot points. Set in LEGO’s interpretation of Gotham City, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a Batman origin story that covers how billionaire Bruce Wayne became the Caped Crusader. Along with giving players some detective skills and various gadgets to work with, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will take cues from the Batman: Arkham series for its fluid combat system. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight launches on May 29 for all current-gen platforms.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Makes a Reliving PC Spec Change

Although LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is developed on Unreal Engine 5, that has not stopped TT Games from continuing to optimize the upcoming title months ahead of its launch. On February 13, TT Games posted on Steam that stated it was revising the recommended system requirements for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on PC. Although the game initially recommended 32 GB of RAM, that requirement has been cut in half, down to 16 GB. However, TT Games clarified that the PC specifications for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight are still not finalized. The studio said it would continue optimizing the upcoming LEGO Batman title even as the game’s launch draws closer.

As of this writing, the PC specification requirements for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight range widely between the minimum and recommended specs. Thankfully, the minimum PC specs needed to run LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight are not too steep. For the processor, an Intel Core i5-9600K, an AMD Ryzen 5 3600, or a newer CPU, is the minimum that TT Games has tested. As for graphics cards, a GPU with at least 8GB of VRAM, including the popular Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060, would be necessary. For the recommended specifications, users will have to spend some serious cash. An 8-core CPU, such as the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X or newer, coupled with a GPU like the GeForce RTX 3080 or higher, is what TT Games listed on the Steam page for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.

The Price of RAM Remains a Constant Threat

Though the PC specs for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight are still subject to change, the decreased RAM requirement is a relief for PC gamers. Since Fall 2025, the price of RAM kits has spiraled out of control due to an ongoing demand for essential components. This demand is spearheaded by tech companies like OpenAI and Google for AI-based server infrastructure development. Ergo, prices of RAM kits have increased to over $400, with no signs of slowing down. To help consumers avoid PC part scams, Corsair has updated the packaging of its Vengeance DDR5 RAM kits to a transparent clamshell case. This allows prospective buyers to visibly check if a stick of RAM is legitimate at a glance.

Despite its ongoing efforts to optimize the game for more devices, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight remains a controversial title. Although LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will not have online co-op, the game will still feature local co-op on supported platforms. The upcoming LEGO Batman game still has some final performance tuning before its global launch in May, but time will tell what announcements TT Games will make beforehand.
