Honkai: Star Rail is teaming up with Vocaloid sensation Hatsune Miku to release a new music video. HoYoverse’s gacha title Honkai: Star Rail has collaborated with some major brands in the past, and the game is now getting ready for a new musical crossover featuring one of its newest characters.
Honkai: Star Rail recently launched its 4.2 update, which coincides with the game’s third anniversary. The ambitious patch has added new characters, explorable areas, and events. Among the new playable 5-Star units is Silver Wolf LV 999, an Imaginary character following the path of Elation. The character is set to become one of Honkai: Star Rail‘s strongest DPS units, and developer HoYoverse has been thoroughly promoting her on social media. Now, Silver Wolf LV 999 will star in Honkai: Star Rail‘s next partnership.

Honkai: Star Rail Reveals New Music Video with Hatsune Miku
On April 22, the official Hatsune Miku Twitter account shared a 12-second teaser of a new music video titled “I’ll make you HoYoHoYo,” as translated from Japanese. In the video, Hatsune Miku can be seen at an arcade with Honkai: Star Rail‘s Silver Wolf LV 999 playing a musical video game. As they select a song, other Honkai: Star Rail tracks can be seen, including “White Night” and “Side Quest King.” The teaser ends by showing “HoYoHoYo,” spelled using Miku’s iconic leeks. The music video is scheduled for release on April 23 at 7:00 PM JST (6:00 AM EST) on Hatsune Miku’s official Japanese YouTube channel.
The video showcases Silver Wolf LV 999 sharing Miku’s hair and eye color instead of her usual platinum hair. The official Honkai: Star Rail account commented “HoYoHoYo…..?” and further confirming the collaboration. It is uncertain if Hatsune Miku’s crossover with HoYoverse’s game could extend beyond the music video. Regardless, this is arguably the gacha’s biggest collaboration since Honkai: Star Rail released limited skins with Fortnite in February 2026.
Hatsune Miku is no stranger to teaming up with video games. The Vocaloid character has her own Fortnite skins, which became quite popular among players. More recently, in March 2026, The Pokemon Company and Hatsune Miku held a live Pokemon-themed concert. On the other hand, this isn’t the first time that HoYoverse has collaborated with a major musical personality. To promote its Amphoreus patch cycle in 2025, Honkai: Star Rail partnered up with YOASOBI to release the track “Nameless Faces.” It will be interesting to see which popular artists will work with the gacha title in the future.
