As Nintendo is gearing up to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series, video game collectibles company First 4 Figures has revealed the first official trailer for its upcoming new “Exclusive Edition” statuette for Link from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The statue not only features glow-in-the-dark detailing but also has LED lighting effects for a vibrant new addition to an already impressive lineup of Zelda figures from the high-end producer. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has recently climbed back up the gaming sales charts, thanks to a re-release on the Nintendo Switch 2, and both longtime fans and newer players can now get a detailed look at this new collectible Link statuette from First 4 Figures.
When the first Legend of Zelda game released in Japan in 1986 for the now-defunct Famicom Disk System, very few likely could have predicted the undeniably massive impact of the Legend of Zelda franchise on video game history. Widely considered to be one of the best action-adventure series of all time, The Legend of Zelda has evolved and expanded greatly, spanning beyond the realm of gaming and entering the worlds of merchandise and cinema, giving fans a variety of ways to enjoy their favorite characters and stories. As one of the newest entries in the long-standing franchise, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom received critical and commercial praise for its impressive graphics and innovative gameplay, and players will soon have the opportunity to add a new slice of the game to their collections.

First Look at The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom First 4 Figures Exclusive Edition Link
The First 4 Figures Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kindgom Exclusive Edition Link statue features both glow-in-the-dark detailing and LED lighting to offer a more luxurious version of the standard edition of the figure, with the latter already being available at select retailers. First 4 Figures’ Exclusive Edition Link is a PVC statuette that stands at 7.9 inches (20cm) tall, with a highly-detailed base inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom art style. Special glow-in-the-dark paint on Link’s right arm and the figure’s base are enhanced by LED light-up functions with animated pulsing effects. Each figure will come with limited-edition numbering, an authentication card, and a premium deluxe box. This new figure will be sold exclusively via the official First 4 Figures website, with pre-orders for the Tears of the Kingdom Link statuette set to open on February 26.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Exclusive Edition Link joins a lineup of Breath of the Wild figures previously released by First 4 Figures. While a price has not yet been revealed, First 4 Figures confirmed that the cost of the Exclusive Edition Tears of the Kingdom Link statuette will be shared the same day that pre-orders launch. For reference, the Exclusive Edition Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Link statue from First 4 Figures costs $114.99, so fans will likely want to expect similar pricing, at a minimum. While some online fans have voiced disappointment with the Link statuette sharing the same pose as the Tears of the Kingdom Amiibo, others appreciate the matching look for a better comparison of scale and consistency within collections.
One key point of interest among Zelda fans is whether the February 26 pre-order launch date could be hinting at a larger announcement from Nintendo regarding The Legend of Zelda‘s 40th Anniversary celebrations, though this remains pure speculation. While it would not be unheard of for Nintendo to announce a Thursday Nintendo Direct, one of the most used days of the week for such showcases, there is already a Pokemon Presents showcase on February 27. It would seem unlikely that Nintendo would want to clog up announcements for two of its biggest franchises with back-to-back presentations, though interested fans may want to stay tuned for any additional news that could come alongside The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom First 4 Figures Exclusive Edition Link pre-order launch.
