Every Pokemon Officially Confirmed for Winds and Waves So Far

Pokemon Day just wrapped, and it finally confirmed the release of Pokemon Gen 10, with the titles being Pokemon Winds and Waves. This had been leaked months ago in the so-called Pokemon Gen 10 TeraLeak, to the point that screenshots of the female protagonist in the pre-production build were shown. Not much is known about Pokemon Winds and Waves‘ gameplay other than what is shown in the trailer, which seems to point to turn-based combat within a vast open world that also includes underwater sections. Yet, the trailer is much deeper and richer than the one for Pokemon Gen 9 ever was, which only revealed the starters and the games’ names.

Instead, Pokemon Winds and Waves‘ starters are not necessarily front and center, as the video gives you a tour of the new region for Gen 10 games, which is allegedly inspired by Southeast Asia, and it features an archipelago of islands. The scale seems unprecedented for a Pokemon game, and considering the unexpected release window of 2027, rather than November 2026, it’s likely that Game Freak took the criticisms of Gen 9 to heart. Since the trailer generously showed more than just the starters, there’s already a bunch of confirmed Pokemon for Winds and Waves‘ release.

Supposedly “leaked” images of the Generation 10 Pokemon starters are making the rounds online mere days before Pokemon Day.

The confirmed Pokemon for Winds and Waves are not too many right now, at least based on the trailer, but it’s likely that more footage will be released in the coming months. This is especially true considering Pokemon Winds and Waves‘ 2027 release. Right now, the list is, in National Pokedex order:

It’s also worth mentioning that some of these Pokemon may get new forms in Pokemon Winds and Waves‘ region, so it’s not guaranteed that they will all be present. There is a high chance, though, as past games included both the new regional form and the original one.

The list is also missing the evolutions of Pokemon Winds and Waves‘ starters, which will most likely be revealed closer to launch, if at all. Typically, The Pokemon Company only shows middle evolutions or none at all, so don’t expect to know what Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua will look like before launch unless new leaks happen.

It’s also worth noting that the trailer includes a short glimpse into the various regions of past games before showing what Gen 10 looks like, with sketches in a notebook.
