Not just any Caterpie: a shiny one at that. In the post, they claimed they planned to drop the challenge after finding it to be “a pain,” but came back to it after some rest to tackle it. Other posts showed that they spent days trying to defeat the Elite Four, and perseverance prevailed as they finally found a way to overcome all the battles. Their reward was to finally see their Caterpie enter the Hall of Fame, which admittedly looks very funny on its own.

According to the user, their shiny Caterpie was Level 100, giving them the best chance of battling through the challenges presented by Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen‘s Elite Four. Their Pokemon held Leftovers as their item, and their primary damage dealer was the Struggle move. It had the Adamant nature, which increases its Attack by 10% but decreases its Special Attack by the same amount.
