Wuthering Waves Version 3.2 Update is Officially Out Now

Wuthering Waves Version 3.2 is officially out on all available platforms, bringing a new main story quest, events, and many gameplay optimizations. Similar to other gacha titles, Kuro Games’ Wuthering Waves aims to launch new characters and refreshing challenges every few weeks with every update. The latest patch is no exception, as fans can enjoy a ton of content with plenty of limited events and free-to-play Astrites.

Since its release in May 2024, Wuthering Waves has arguably become one of the most popular gacha titles of recent years, even earning a Player’s Voice win at The Game Awards 2025. In December 2025, Wuthering Waves launched its 3.0 update, introducing fans to the nation of Lahai-Roi and adding motorbike-riding exploration mechanics. Version 3.1 then released two new playable units and the Frostlands Surface area. Now, Kuro Games has revealed the full details of what Wuthering Waves players will receive in the 3.2 update.

Wuthering Waves: All 5-Star Characters, Ranked

5-star characters still need to compete against each other to be crowned the best Resonator in Wuthering Waves.

Wuthering Waves Version 3.2 Adds New Main Quest and Quality-of-life Upgrades

Wuthering Waves has recently launched its 3.2 patch, titled “Resolution to Iluminate the Shadows.” The update includes new main story content, like Chapter III: Act IV, and a new Segue: Afterstory quest. It also debuts the 5-Star Resonator Sigrika, an Aero unit wielding Gauntlets. Sigrika is a student at Startorch Academy who also plays a key role in the latest main quest alongside Rover. Players can currently pull for her or Qiuyuan in Wuthering Waves’ limited banners. Version 3.2 Phase 2 will also rerun Lynae, Zani, and Phoebe. To stock up on resources, fans can log into the game for seven days and claim up to 10 free pulls. Players can also claim up to 600 compensation Astrite through in-game mail until the end of Version 3.2.

The patch also brings some important quality-of-life upgrades and gameplay optimizations. To start, players can now directly claim rewards from Resonator trials they completed in earlier updates. The Expedition Motorbike has been optimized as well, and players will no longer get stuck in certain terrain while exploring. In addition, emptying Echo storage has become easier for players with Smart Discard, letting fans get rid of Echoes that don’t adjust to their filters. Wuthering Waves 3.2 also adds a feature to share and import other players’ Echo Management plan configurations. Finally, the patch introduces a new “High Quality” option for some mobile devices with higher performance. Meanwhile, PC players can now customize the render distance of their graphics based on their personal preferences. This feature comes after some Wuthering Waves fans criticized Version 3.1 due to frame-rate drops, requesting graphics optimizations.

Wuthering Waves leaks free five-star weapon for Version 2.2

In the past, Kuro Games has been commended by gamers for its commitment to addressing player feedback promptly. Many mobile players might appreciate the new HD option, considering that Wuthering Waves is known for its high-end visuals. It’s also worth noting that Wuthering Waves has an active PC player base as well, so being able to adjust the game’s graphics according to players’ hardware can be crucial for a smoother gameplay experience. It will be interesting to see what other quality-of-life features will be added by the development team in future updates.

While Wuthering Waves Version 3.2 does not add any new explorable areas, there is still plenty of content for players to look forward to. Several events will launch throughout the patch, including rhythm and block-blasting minigames. The patch also includes a limited collaboration with Persona 5 Royal, with motorbike skins showcasing Queen and Violet from the ATLUS title. This isn’t the only major team-up that Kuro Games has planned, though, since Wuthering Waves will cross over with Cyberpunk Edgerunners as well. This highly anticipated collaboration is scheduled for sometime in 2026, and some players want Wuthering Waves to add iconic characters like Lucy as playable units. Fans can expect more official details about the crossover in the coming months.
