Ronin is Coming in April 2026

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to expand its reach this April with some fresh physical goodies for fans to collect. The iconic RPG has some new additions to help keep the community’s momentum going. While the Cyberpunk 2077 world is already incredibly deep, an upcoming item aims to bring a piece of that atmosphere into the real world.

The path Cyberpunk 2077 has taken since its release in 2020 is impressive in the gaming industry. After a launch filled with bugs and frustration, the team at CD Projekt Red worked tirelessly to fix the experience, eventually turning it into a title that is now beloved by many players. A major part of what makes the world so addictive is the atmosphere, and a huge chunk of that feeling comes from the music. Songs that play while you drive through the city have become as famous as the characters themselves, helping players feel like they are truly part of a futuristic society. This year, that same celebration of music culture is going to intersect with the world of video games in a way that should make long-time fans very happy.

The biggest news for audiophiles is the arrival of Cyberpunk 2077: Ronin, a special vinyl record that hits shelves on April 18. This release is part of the 19th Record Store Day, an event in which over 300 independent shops across the United Kingdom and Ireland come together to sell exclusive physical media. Singer Olivia Dean is the official ambassador for the event this year, which will also feature special soundtracks from other big names like Pokemon and Undertale. This particular record, created by Angel of Man, wasn’t actually part of the original game soundtrack, but instead was built from the ground up as a “love letter to the world of Cyberpunk 2077.” While fans have been able to listen to these tracks on streaming platforms since last year, this is the very first time they can own a physical version, and it even comes with a brand-new bonus track that has never been heard before.

For those interested in the technical details, the Ronin record is designed to be a true collector’s item. The album features 12 different tracks, ranging from high-energy songs like “The Heist” and “Extraction Action” to much slower, more thoughtful sounds like “Rite of Passage.” The record itself is a limited-edition “Katana CyberRed” vinyl that weighs 180g, ensuring high-quality sound for those who actually want to play it. It comes in a premium jacket that features original artwork inspired by the game’s neon-heavy aesthetic. Materia Collective is the group behind the release, and it describes the project as a “striking new entry in the world of cinematic game-inspired music.” By picking this up at a local shop, fans aren’t just getting a cool piece of history—they are also helping support the independent record stores that keep physical media alive.

If music isn’t a priority, another major release is happening just a few days earlier. A new high-end figurine of the Cyberpunk 2077 character Songbird is officially launching on April 8. This 9-inch model, produced by Dark Horse, captures the likeness of the famous netrunner who played a major role in the Phantom Liberty expansion. Songbird was a key figure in the story of V’s survival, and this figure shows her in her iconic denim jacket with all her unique cybernetic markings and gear. Priced at roughly $70 USD, this statue is meant to be displayed alongside the previously released Solomon Reed figure for the ultimate setup. Dark Horse Direct is already taking pre-orders for the item, which has been highly anticipated by players who spent dozens of hours exploring Dogtown during the expansion’s main questline.

While these physical items are exciting, many fans are still looking ahead to the next big game. CD Projekt Red has confirmed that a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 currently known as Project Orion, is in the works, but reports suggest it won’t be ready until 2030 at the earliest. The studio is currently putting most of its energy into the next Witcher game, meaning the wait for more Cyberpunk content will be a long one. The developers have officially stated there will be no more secret DLC or expansions for the current game, despite rumors that sometimes pop up on social media. Even though there won’t be any new digital missions to play, the release of things like the Ronin vinyl and the Songbird figure shows that the franchise is still very much alive. For now, fans will have to make do with these collectibles and their own imagination as they wait for the next chapter of the Night City saga to eventually begin.
