Tomb Raider Remastered & Lords of the Fallen

Tomb Raider Remastered & Lords of the Fallen

April is here, and along with pretty flowers blooming and rainstorms raining, the start of a new month means Sony has announced what freebies PS Plus subscribers can look forward to downloading and playing next week. And this time around, Sony is technically giving away not three, not four, but five different games, including Tomb Raider Remastered and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream.

On April 1, PlayStation revealed April’s monthly games, which will be available to all PS Plus subscribers across all tiers. These games will be available to add to your PlayStation library permanently starting on April 7. Once added, you can install them and play them whenever you want as long as you remain an active PS Plus Essential, Extra, or Premium subscriber. Here’s the list of games and what platforms they’re available on.

  • Lords of the Fallen (2023) – PS5
  • Tomb Raider I-II-II: Remastered  – PS5, PS4
  • Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream – PS5

You don’t want to wait too long to grab these PS Plus monthly games, as they are only available to grab for free until May 4. After that, a new batch of not-yet-announced games will be made available to subscribers.

This month’s collection of PS Plus freebies contains Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, which, as the name clearly indicates, includes enhanced versions of Lara Croft’s first three video game adventures. Am I bitter about the fact that just a few weeks ago, I bought the bundle containing this collection of remastered Tomb Raider games, as well as Tomb Raider 4-6 remastered, because it was on sale for a good price? Maybe a little bit. Meanwhile, Souls-like action RPG Lords of the Fallen is here, but to be clear, this is the newer game that shares the same name as its 2014 predecessor. Lastly, Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream seems like a neat anime co-op RPG experience for fans of that franchise.

Don’t forget to add March’s free games to your PlayStation account library before they go away. You have until April 6 to grab PGA Tour 2K25, Monster Hunter Rise, Slime Rancher 2, and The Elder Scrolls Online
