Starfield Free Lanes And Terran Armada Global Launch Times Confirmed

Since it first launched in 2023, Starfield has received numerous expansions and upgrades, and this month is a big one for Bethesda’s sci-fi adventure game. Not only is it coming to PS5 consoles, but Starfield is also getting two updates–Free Lanes and Terran Armada. Both of these will be launching on April 7. If you’re looking to jump into the new content–or you’re planning to get Starfield for PS5–here’s when it unlocks around the world:

Starfield Free Lanes and Terran Armada launch times

Free Lanes–which is fittingly, free–is a major update for Starfield that completely overhauls how interplanetary travel works in the game. Players will now be able to cruise around planets instead of having to jump through menus to land, and there’s even an option to enable an autopilot to handle that task for you while you explore your spaceship. The update also aims to make the galaxy more interesting, with new points of interest to explore, new legendary enemy modifiers, X-tech for ship upgrades, upgradeable Starborn powers, an asteroid base to call home, a new land vehicle, a Milliwhale pet for your outpost, and much more.

Terran Armada is a $10 expansion for Starfield that launches on the same day. The new galaxy-spanning storyline pits players against a robotic army of soldiers led by members of the United Colonies and Freestar Collective, and introduces a new crewmate, Delta. The other big addition is Incursions, the new Incursions gameplay mode where players can take on small armies of Terrans, and more rewards can be found across the galaxy.

PS5 owners planning to get the game can choose between a $50 Standard Edition or a $70 Premium Edition that includes the base game, all DLC, and plenty of other digital bonuses.

Xbox Series X|S owners can also save on the digital edition of Starfield now that it has been lowered to match the PS5 launch price, and you can get an even deeper discount for the PC edition through Fanatical. The standard edition is currently down to $44, while the Premium Edition is on sale for $61.50.

Disclosure: GameSpot and Fanatical are both owned by Fandom.
