Following the completion of a community challenge in Borderlands 4, developer Gearbox Software has revealed a new Shift Code to unlock a special “Like Vermillion Bucks” skin for newcomer C4SH. It’s been roughly two weeks since Borderlands 4‘s Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned DLC hit the market, bringing C4SH with it, and so it’s no surprise to see players testing out their builds with the new DLC character.
Unfortunately, it’s not all roses for Borderlands 4 right now. C4SH has been praised for his action skills and builds, and the atmosphere of the DLC has received some kind words, but many do not think the Borderlands 4 DLC is worth it. For a $30 expansion on a $70 game, it brings with it a small region (smaller than the opening area), a handful of missions (2-3 hours worth of main story content), some new guns, and C4SH.
CPU Prices Could Be Increasing Again
A new report suggests CPU component prices are likely to go up once again in the coming months, marking the third price increase in 2026.
Redeem Borderlands 4’s Shift Code for Exclusive C4SH Skin
Some, meanwhile, might be all in for C4SH, and the community showed up for the DLC Vault Hunter this past weekend. Despite it being Easter, players took on a big boss beatdown challenge, which required players to defeat Borderlands 4‘s bosses with C4SH. Collectively, as confirmed by Gearbox, players defeated 524, 912 bosses. The reward is a deep red Vault Hunter Skin that’s exclusive to C4SH, dubbed “Like Vermillion Bucks,” and players can unlock it any time now or in the far future. This Borderlands 4 Shift Code does not expire until December 31, 2030.

- Expires December 31, 2030
- Can be claimed in-game or on the Shift website
While Borderlands 4’s Shift Codes are more commonly used to snag Golden Keys, to get better loot, plenty of skins have been given away via Shift Code as well. There’s the Break Free Pack, Amon’s Cult Classic Skin, Rafa’s Savings Savior Skin, and others that could be redeemed this way as well. Generally speaking, these Shift Codes last much longer than the Golden Keys, as each of these expires on December 31 as well.

- JZ6BJ-SBR5J-WF3BK-BT3BB-TX9HB – Amon’s Cult Classic Skin (expires Dec 31, 2030)
- JS63J-JSCWJ-CFTBW-3TJ3J-WJS5R – Break Free Pack (expires Dec 31, 2030)
Whether or not the Borderlands 4 DLC feels worth the price, Gearbox Software is clearly leaning into long-term engagement and community support with this code. Whether or not that’s where its attention should be is another story, but it’s clear a lot of fans have fun with C4SH over the holiday weekend. Of course, someone has already found an infinite damage build for C4SH and others are still experimenting, but events like this hopefully reinforce behavior that would already exist.

If the next Borderlands 4 DLC Vault Hunter lives up to C4SH, that would be fantastic for players. Hopefully, the next major DLC manages to satisfy more fans with its overall content offering.
