Of course, someone might want to pick up this freebie if the PS Plus Extra and Premium games don’t gel with them. Or if they just like the original open-world game. Or just in addition to everything. PS Plus Subscribers Can Get Some Freebies for Open-World Game Sky: Children of the Light
PS Plus subscribers can navigate to the PlayStation Store and download the Sky: Children of the Light Spring Pack at absolutely no cost. For those unaware, Sky: Children of the Light is a completely free social-driven MMO. That means someone can download and check it out for free, including the content given in the Spring Pack. In general, Sky: Children of the Light is a multiplayer open-world adventure game where players share a persistent world focused on peaceful interaction, social connection, and collaboration (with no combat at all).
Sky originally released for iOS devices in 2019 but did not come to PlayStation consoles until 2022.
The Spring Pack gives PS Plus subscribers the following bonus content:
- 30 Regular Candles
- 3 Blue Colored Trail Spells
- 3 Fast Recharge Spells
- 3 Rainbow Glow Spells
The Sky: Children of the Light Spring Pack includes a collection of consumable spells and currency to give players a little in-game bump, including 30 Regular Candles, 3 Blue Colored Trail Spells, 3 Fast Recharge Spells, and 3 Rainbow Glow Spells. Regular Candles are standard currency used to access cosmetics, progress Friendship Trees, and access seasonal or event items. The Blur Colored Trail Spell leaves behind a trail, if needed for navigation or just for looking cool, while the Rainbow Glow Spell is similar, with a rainbow-colored aura on the player-character. Finally, the Fast Recharge Spell charges wing energy faster as a gameplay buff.
For players looking for something chill to play on PlayStation 5 (via PS4 backward compatibility), Sky: Children of the Light could just be it, and this is a great pack to get started, to come back, or just accept as a nice little freebie. If this bonus freebie ain’t quite it for them, then there are plenty of games currently available for PS Plus Extra and Premium, added as of April 2026: Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, The Crew Motorfest, Football Manager 26, WARRIORS: Abyss, Squirrel with a Gun, The Casting of Frank Stone, and Monster Train.
