Paralives has received a bunch of new jobs for players to check out and assign to their Parafolk. The new Paralives jobs arrive by way of a mod, and adds 11 new jobs for Parafolk, including tech, social media, and freelance positions.
The new life sim is already off to a good start, with Paralives selling a quarter of a million copies within the first eight hours of being available. Though Paralives is still in early access, it seems that a lot of players are enjoying what it brings to the life sim genre, and there’s considerable excitement about how the game will evolve and expand in the future.
Paralives Roadmap
Paralives has many things planned post-launch, and you can find out what they are with the official roadmap.
Paralives Gets 11 New Jobs
Paralives now has a new mod that adds 11 exciting new jobs to the game, giving Parafolk more to do and different fields to branch into. The 11 jobs are available across three different companies, called Tech Startup, Social Media, and Freelance. The new jobs use existing game skills and schedules, and there are no conflicts with the original Paralives job options. Parafolk start out with pay as low as 150 Paradimes a day, depending on the role chosen, and can gain career advancement, allowing them to earn as much as 600 Paradimes a day, depending upon which company a Parafolk joins.

The Tech Startup company has Parafolk start out in IT support at entry level for 280 Paradimes per day, with career options including Data Analyst (450 Paradimes), DevOps Engineer (600 Paradimes), Product Manager (450 Paradimes), and CEO (600 Paradimes). Social Media has three jobs, with pay ranging from 150 Paradimes to 320 Paradimes a day, including Content Creator (150 Paradimes), Community Manager (150 Paradimes), and Social Media Manager (320 Paradimes). The last company, Freelance, starts Parafolk out as Web Developers at 200 Paradimes a day, with the potential to move to jobs like Graphic Designer (250 Paradimes) and Data Consultant, which receives 400 Paradimes per day. The mod creator notes that they will be adding more Paralives jobs and features in time, so even if these 11 don’t appeal to a player, there may be something later on that’s enticing.
Although these jobs are available via mod, Paralives has integrated Steam Workshop support, making it extremely easy to install them. If the Steam user is logged in on the web, they can simply follow the link and hit “Subscribe” and the mod will be installed the next time they start the game. Alternatively, players can browse the workshop within Steam and access the mod from there, following the same steps once they’re on the New Jobs landing page.
Fit the 9 games into the grid.
Paralives already has a considerable number of jobs, but as the game is in Early Access, there’s still room to grow. With enough support from the developer, Paralives could become a major competitor to The Sims, which currently has considerably more content available to players. However, Paralives intends to release its updates for free, which may help the game to stand out from DLC-heavy The Sims 4.
