A Baldur’s Gate 3 player online is taking no chances in Honour Mode, summoning an army of 88 monsters to help them complete the game. Honour Mode in Baldur’s Gate 3 is considered to be the game’s greatest challenge, but this team composition would certainly make things a little easier to handle.
Ever since the launch of Honour Mode for Baldur’s Gate 3, it has proven to be the ultimate challenge for players to overcome in Larian’s CRPG. It allows for a single save slot which saves automatically, removing the possibility of reloading upon a bad dice roll. There’s also permadeath upon losing the entire party in combat, which stops a save file in its tracks. It’s a uniquely brutal game mode, which is why players have tried to come up with a manner of exploits to help beat the hardest fights in Baldur’s Gate 3’s Honour Mode.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Dropped The Ball With One Staple Cleric Feature
Clerics are versatile with a wide range of domains and spells, so when Baldur’s Gate 3 removed one option it limited them in many ways.
Redditor Real-Business6593 shared their absurd Baldur’s Gate 3 party online, which has been designed to help them survive Honour Mode. Using Shadowheart, Karlach and Minsc, the player has been able to summon a party of 88 minions in total, although that does include an estimated 28 spore zombies, so this number may be slightly off if Real-Business6593’s guess isn’t correct. Still, it’s an awesome use of the Baldur’s Gate 3 companions and their abilities. If they can maintain this army throughout the entirety of the game, it’s hard to imagine a scenario in which their Honour Mode quest fails.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Player Cheeses Honour Mode With Huge Summon Army
While players in the thread were impressed by how Real-Business6593 had amassed their huge army, one user did point out one potential pitfall, claiming that it’s “Going to be an ironic tragedy when you lose honor mode because this crashes the game.” Others were simply concerned about how long it would take to beat Baldur’s Gate 3 using this team. It’s certainly a valid question to ask – bigger bosses could take a long time, especially if they have to cycle through every single member of their party.
Although Larian Studios has confirmed that it won’t be creating any DLC for Baldur’s Gate 3 and won’t be involved in a sequel, there is good news for those captivated by the series. Hasbro has confirmed that a Baldur’s Gate 3 sequel will eventually be on the way, but the company needs to find the right developer to take the reins first. Whichever studio takes on the task has enormous shoes to fill, so maybe the sequel taking a long time could be a blessing in disguise. Comparisons to Larian’s effort will be inevitable, but having some time between the two will definitely make it easier for Baldur’s Gate 4 to eventually stand on its own two feet.
