Baldur’s Gate 3 has received a new content drop on consoles, adding seventeen new pieces of content, which includes two new classes and a new subclass. The new options give console gamers plenty of new options in Baldur’s Gate 3, including visual overhauls, cosmetics, quality of life improvements, and more.
In the past, mods were largely inaccessible for games on console, with very few exceptions. Fantasy epic The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim has integrated mod support for console players, as does Baldur’s Gate 3. However, mod support doesn’t mean that every single mod available for PC is also on PlayStation and Xbox, as it’s up to the developers to review and determine which mods should make the cut. As a result, Baldur’s Gate 3 sometimes receives content drops like these for console, which are always an exciting time for non-PC gamers.
Baldur’s Gate 3: 16 Best Mods Available On Consoles
With the release of Patch 7, Baldur’s Gate 3 now supports downloadable mods on consoles, opening up endless new possibilities for the RPG.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Update Adds 17 New Mods
Baldur’s Gate 3 has now added 17 new mods to the console versions of the game, bringing the total console and Mac-compatible mods to a whopping 1,245. These vary from minor cosmetic alterations to tweaks to romance paths, but chances are the most exciting among them for most fans will be the new classes and subclass. This mod release adds DragonSoul, a dragon worshiping custom-made hybrid martial/spellcaster class with four unique subclasses. It also introduces Huffman’s Magus: A Class of Spell and Steel, which emphasizes weapons and magic, including the ability to enchant weapons and create shields. Huffman’s Magus also gains six subclasses all its own. Cleric also gets a new subclass in Poverty Domain, which is a subclass with an emphasis on non-lethal spells, simple weapons, and clothing instead of armor, which may make it a good choice for pacifist runs in Baldur’s Gate 3.

A number of mods impacting the player’s party are also included in this new drop. Among them are Transform Wyll to Human or Devil, which gives the player a new spell unlocked by a ring, which allows the player to swap between Wyll’s devil and human forms. Missed Connections: Shadowheart resolves a common issue where players miss out on some of her final romance cutscenes if the player hasn’t had a specific conversation with her. Astarion’s Tousled Curls swaps his usual hairstyle for a longer-tressed one, while Gale: More Dead Spider Reactions ensures that Gale will always say a funny line if Tav licks a spider, bypassing a usual constitution check.
The new mods in the game also include:
- Phalar Aluve: Become Legend – Adds two upgrades in order to better scale as the player levels up.
- Ingredient Collector – Gives the player a 36-foot aura that picks up any unowned ingredients, plants, and alchemy books.
