Battlefield 6 Players Have a Major Problem With Challenges

Battlefield 6 Players Have a Major Problem With Challenges

The Battlefield 6 community appears to already be fed up with the game’s time-consuming challenges, with players stating that they “suck the will out of you.” Developer DICE has already been forced to adjust the game’s tedious progression system just days after it was launched, but now it looks like Battlefield 6 fans are rallying together in an effort to get the studio to rework many of the game’s most difficult challenges.

Despite complaints surrounding progression and challenges, Battlefield 6 has been a huge success for EA and DICE. After four years without a new release, the series returned with a bang after the disastrous launch of Battlefield 2042. In just a matter of minutes, Battlefield 6‘s concurrent player count on Steam soared past 747,000 users, making it one of the highest-played games on the platform, even outperforming Call of Duty‘s record of 491,000. EA has also confirmed that Battlefield 6 has sold over 7 million copies in its first three days.

Battlefield 6 Players Are Fed Up With “Time Consuming” Challenges

Battlefield 6 is full of challenges for players to complete, allowing the community to unlock new weapons, earn XP boosters, and more. However, many of these challenges are incredibly time-consuming, tedious, and outright difficult. Which is why the community is calling for DICE to make some major changes, with one user even stating that they “absolutely suck the will out of you.” The poster then specifically targets the ‘Bullet Storm’ challenge, which requires players to suppress enemies with LMGs, and the ‘Support’ challenge, which requires players to heal teammates’ health as Support.

The post has received more than 3,000 upvotes and over 1,000 comments as players wholeheartedly agree that the challenges “suck.” One user responded by saying that they have been playing Battlefield 6 since launch and still haven’t managed to complete the Support challenges, while another player said that they work full-time, have kids, so they “don’t even look at [the challenges]” and that they “just play and hope it all works out.”

DICE has been listening to the community and implementing changes based on player feedback, which means there is hope that some adjustments to challenges could be made in the future. Just last week, the studio made a highly requested change to Battlefield 6‘s challenge re-rolls. After players complained that they were receiving challenges specific to the game’s new Battle Royale mode, Battlefield REDSEC, DICE deployed a new change that prevented Battlefield 6 players from receiving a REDSEC-specific challenge, but still allowed Battle Royale players to receive challenges when re-rolling.
