Season 2 of Battlefield 6 and Redsec includes several new weapons to unlock, but not all of them are available at launch. Season 2 content is spread out over three phases, so you’ll have new weapons to unlock with each update. In this guide, we’ll list all the Season 2 weapons, attachments, and gadgets, as well as explain how you can unlock each.
Battlefield 6 Season 2 is live with the Extreme Measures update. The Nightfall phase is scheduled for release on March 17, and the Hunter/Prey update rolls out on April 14 as the final content drop for the season.
All of the Season 2 weapon details can be found below. The Extreme Measures weapons are available to unlock for free in the Season 2 battle pass, while the ones arriving in later updates will likely be unlocked through in-game events or challenges.
You don’t need to purchase the Season 2 battle pass to earn any of the weapons or gadgets included, but it’s worth noting that you receive a 10% XP boost with the $10 standard battle pass purchase and a 15% XP boost for the $25 Pro version of the pass.
You can still unlock any Season 1 weapons or attachments you might’ve missed. These are now found under the Battlefield 6’s Challenges tab. Each item will have a new unlock challenge for you to complete.
Extreme Measures weapons
Season 2’s Extreme Measures is available now with three guns in the battle pass: The GRT-CPS DMR, the M121 A2 light machine gun, and the VCR-2 assault rifle.
GRT-CPS DMR
The new GRT-CPS DMR is described as a fast-firing and accurate rifle, and it can support larger magazine sizes than the existing GRT-BC DMR rifle. This gun is unlocked for free in the Death Stalkers path of the Season 2 battle pass.
VCR-2 assault rifle

The VCR-2 is described as an assault rifle that acts like a submachine gun. This is a high fire rate bullpup rifle for close-quarters engagements. The VCR-2 assault rifle is unlocked for free in the Woodland Rangers path of the Season 2 battle pass.
M121 A2 LMG

The M121 A2 light machine gun is described as having a longer reload time and heavier recoil than others in its class, but the gun packs a high-rate of fire for dealing lots of damage or suppression. This gun is unlocked for free in the Steel Talon path of the Season 2 battle pass.
Extreme Measures gadgets
Two gadgets are included with the Extreme Measures update. This adds the 9K38 IGLA launcher for the Engineer class and the HTI-MK2 Hardware Suppression System for the Recon class.
9K38 IGLA lock-on air-defense launcher

The 9K38 IGLA is an active-locking air-defense launcher for the Engineer class. This launcher requires slightly more attention than the standard air-defense launcher, as you must keep the device aimed in on the target, but this allows the missiles to reacquire targets mid-flight if tracking is lost or countermeasures are deployed.
The 9K38 IGLA is unlocked for free in the initial Recruit path of the Season 2 battle pass.
HTI-MK2 Hardware Suppressor System

The HTI-MK2 Hardware Suppressor System is a disruption tool for the Recon class. When equipped, this new gadget spots all nearby electronic and explosive gadgets as well as targets in the middle of a lock-on process. Aiming and activating the device can intercept missiles and destroy electronic gadgets.
The HTI-MK2 Hardware Suppressor System is unlocked for free in the Hazardous Front path of the Season 2 battle pass.
Nightfall weapons
Season 2’s Nightfall update will arrive in March with two new guns: The CZ3A1 submachine gun and the VZ.61 sidearm.
CZ3A1 SMG

The CZ3A1 submachine gun returns from Battlefield 4. This submachine gun boasts a blistering fire rate of over 1,000 RPM and plenty of recoil, but it’s powerful for dealing damage in close-quarters engagements.
VZ.61 sidearm

The VZ.61 sidearm is a compact machine pistol with a high rate of fire. This sidearm doesn’t have the accuracy of the other guns in its class, but it is meant to deal effective damage in close-quarters.
Nightfall attachments
Battlefield Studios teases several attachments will be available to unlock for free in seasonal challenges. These include a light-and-laser underbarrel combo and a hybrid sight that combines a standard red dot optic and a thermal scope.
Hunter/Prey new weapon
One new weapon is confirmed for Season 2’s final content in April. The Hunter/Prey update will include the new KAPOK 14″ Machete melee weapon.
The Season 2 roadmap doesn’t confirm any additional weapons, attachments, or gadgets for the Hunter/Prey update.
