Black Ops 7 Will Include Game-Changing Feature for PC Players

Activision has revealed that PC users will be able to make use of a new sub-frame mouse polling feature in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which should allow for much more precise input response regardless of a player’s frames per second. The new PC-exclusive feature will be available at the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which has officially been set for Friday, November 14.

With just a little over a week left to go until the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Activision has released a detailed blog post discussing PC-specific features, global release times, pre-load information, and more. Alongside the new sub-frame mouse polling feature, the publisher has also stated that the next entry in the series will “run on most hardware” and will come with over 800 different options, allowing players to customize graphics, gameplay, input devices, and more. Black Ops 7 will also launch with support for AMD FSR 4 and a range of other upscaling and frame generation technologies.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Will Have Sub-Frame Mouse Polling on PC

Players can expect Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 to have many of the standard PC features that are expected of big AAA releases, such as ultrawide support, 4K resolution, and more. But Activision has now confirmed something fans weren’t expecting: sub-frame mouse polling. The blog post simply states that the feature is for increased mouse precision for aiming, but for those eager to know more, sub-frame mouse polling will allow Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 to read mouse inputs more frequently in order to allow for faster and more precise input response. The aim is to reduce input latency, even by mere milliseconds, to make aiming feel smoother and more consistent.

Activision also confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be optimized for PC handhelds, such as the new ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X. The publisher states that developers Treyarch Studios have enhanced UI legibility, scaled every screen for smaller displays, and optimized the game to deliver smooth performance without sacrificing image quality.

call of duty black ops 7 reznov pre order bonus removed why

Those who have pre-ordered Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be able to pre-load the title on all platforms from 9 AM PT on November 10, allowing fans to jump in the second the game launches next week. However, those who do pre-order should be aware that Activision recently removed a pre-order bonus for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The Reznov Challenge Pack is now only usable in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone due to the studio’s shift in content design for this year’s title.
