Activision has revealed that PC users will be able to make use of a new sub-frame mouse polling feature in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which should allow for much more precise input response regardless of a player’s frames per second. The aim is to reduce input latency, even by mere milliseconds, to make aiming feel smoother and more consistent.

Activision also confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be optimized for PC handhelds, such as the new ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X. The publisher states that developers Treyarch Studios have enhanced UI legibility, scaled every screen for smaller displays, and optimized the game to deliver smooth performance without sacrificing image quality.
