The Persona 30th anniversary celebration continues with a new addition, this time bringing the JRPG franchise to Kura Sushi restaurants. The collab will likely see high demand, judging by prior campaigns at the revolving sushi bar chain, so fans of Persona should take care to not miss out.
Persona‘s 30th anniversary kicked off in a big way at the start of 2026, and has been carrying on ever since. In addition to big moments like the official reveal of Persona 6 and the Persona 4 Revival remake, the franchise has also been regularly dropping merch, attire, and collaborations, which may even include a leaked Fortnite x Persona crossover. Clearly, the celebrations aren’t over yet with this new reveal.
Persona and Kura Sushi Reveal New Team Up
Persona is gearing up to kick off a collaboration with Kura Sushi, an international sushi chain best-known for its revolving conveyor belt of sushi and “Bikkura Pon” capsule machine gacha-style prizes that are awarded after a certain number of plates are ordered. The majority of the prizes are based upon Persona 3, 4, and 5, but there are a few celebrating the earlier games. The Persona 3, 4, and 5 items include three acrylic charms featuring the protagonists and three can badges featuring the games’ mascots, while the three-piece sticker sets include characters from throughout the Persona series. The Bikkura Pon Persona prizes will be granted after reaching 15 plates, then 25, and if still going, any additional 15 plates past that point. Buying the prizes directly without participating is also an option, but no prices have been revealed yet.

Kura Sushi has also stated that “specially themed menu items” will be made available, but hasn’t revealed what those will be or when the promotion begins. However, the current promotion at the restaurant will end on July 31, so it may start as early as August 1. Fans should also be aware that Kura Sushi typically introduces additional awards based on the total amount spent on dining, like lunch boxes, cups, and towels, but nothing has been officially shown yet in this case.
Outside of the Kura Sushi promotion, it’s been a busy year for Persona already. The leaks indicating that Persona 5 would cross over with Fortnite followed hot on the heels of the Persona 5 and Call of Duty Mobile crossover. Persona may also be crossing over with Rocket League, if the aforementioned leakers’ claims are accurate. It’s entirely possible that more collabs may be yet to come in 2026, and a jazz cover album for the franchise will also launch later this year.
Although the 30th anniversary for Persona will wrap up at the end of the year, the series is preparing for the future in a big way. Persona 4 Revival will launch in 2027, and some leaks have suggested that Persona 6 might even come out in the same year. Beyond that, a new Persona live action series has been announced by Netflix. The spin-off game Persona 5: The Phantom X is also continuing to receive updates that should keep players busy well into the future.
