A known leaker shares new details about the upcoming Pokemon Winds and Waves, with most of the comments revolving around key features of the games’ open-world. Pokemon Winds and Waves are looking to be the biggest open-world games yet for the franchise, especially with its island and underwater structure.
Of course, it’s worth noting that all Pokemon Winds and Waves leaks live and die by their source. All of this information comes from Kurwa, a relatively new leaker, but one who has been backed by aggregate accounts like Centro Leaks. Kurwa previously leaked the Pokedex number/new Pokemon count for Pokemon Winds and Waves, and known leakers corroborated the claim. Kurwa is relatively new, but as far as leaks go, they have the potential to be accurate at the very least.
New Pokemon Winds and Waves Leaks: Elite Four, Storylines, Endgame, and More
Just like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Pokemon Winds and Waves‘ main story is split into three distinct parts so that players can tackle them in any order (all according to Kurwa). One is the Legend Tour, where players must defeat new bosses to power up the Konetsu, or Seed Pokemon. The Seed Pokemon is similar to Koraidon and Miraidon narratively, but it is apparently defended by a young woman akin to Nebby from Pokemon Sun and Moon. The other is called the Mahou Tour, where players must engage in raids against Pokemon using the new Netsu Battle Gimmick (new weather-based attacks and forms). The third tour goes unmentioned by Kurwa, but it’s almost certainly the Gym Challenge.

Each of these storylines can be roughly explored in any order as open-world games, but at key moments, the Elite Four and Champion of the region will show up across them. It’s uncertain which Tour storylines the Elite Four pop up in, but they apparently play a major role in the story. Breaking from the Teraleak (as it is dated), Kurwa also claims that Pokemon Winds and Waves‘ Elite Four is actually Water, Grass, Fire, and Electric, an interesting and obvious combination of the core elemental types. Across the open-world storylines, fans can expect a stronger story with better worldbuilding and characters, according to Kurwa.
Finally, Pokemon Winds and Waves reportedly leans hard into MMO-like features for the endgame. This includes procedural generation, believed to create unique islands at sea and unique underwater areas, while co-op raids similar to the Mahou Tour are a key feature. Kurwa also mentions “multiplayer travel agency races,” although it’s uncertain what that means, and there are other leaked MMO features like a hotel hub that are untouched by Kurwa. In other words, these details remain the tip of the iceberg.
Overall, it’s some pretty big claims that could be exciting for Pokemon Winds and Waves, but there’s still no indication that fans are getting news anytime soon. Known leakers previously claimed that 2026 would pass by without any serious news about Pokemon Winds and Waves from any official sources, and while that felt unbelievable shortly after Pokemon Day in February, it’s now August and the year is almost over. Hopefully, next Pokemon Day proves to be a boom of info for Pokemon fans.
