Capcom Fans Should Circle March 5 On Their Calendars

Capcom announced the dates and time for an upcoming Spotlight Livestream, revealing plans to announce more information on upcoming games like Pragmata, in addition to new content for some of its biggest hits, like Street Fighter 6. The Japanese company is looking to retain its momentum from the previous couple of years and so far, Capcom has already confirmed more highly anticipated titles for 2026. Despite one of its major titles having just recently launched, Capcom has more to share with fans on March 5.

Coming off a strong 2025, Capcom has again kicked off 2026 with a bang, thanks in large part to the launch of Resident Evil Requiem. The ninth mainline game in the franchise takes players back to Raccoon City, where an older Leon S. Kennedy and newcomer FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft. As expected, Resident Evil Requiem has been a massive hit with critics and gamers alike as it attempts to answer a number of major franchise questions, including the origins of the Umbrella Corporation and the mysterious deaths of Raccoon City survivors. While it’s expected that Requiem gets some sort of DLC, it appears fans will have to wait a bit longer for that news as Capcom is planning to highlight a few of its other upcoming games in a special livestream later this week.

Resident Evil Requiem Quietly Ends a Franchise Tradition 28 Years in the Making

Although Resident Evil Requiem pays homage to the series’ history, it breaks a long-running narrative tradition for unclear reasons.

In a new Tweet, Capcom revealed the details for its upcoming Spotlight Livestream event later this week on March 5. The half-an-hour event is planned to focus on 4 games in particular, with the upcoming original IP Pragmata leading the way. Despite multiple, lengthy delays, the unique sci-fi title Pragmata is launching on April 24, and fans have been able to try it out early thanks to a shadow-dropped demo back in February. The third person action game combines real-time combat with exploration and hacking. With the marketing push in full force, Capcom is clearly hoping that Pragmata can continue the recent string of successes.

Street Fighter 6 was also listed as being a participating game during the livestream, leading many to wonder what else Capcom could be revealing. Fans have known Alex is joining Street Fighter 6 for a while now, even seeing multiple trailers with the legacy character in action. While it’s possible Alex is featured again, or perhaps a new limited-time event is confirmed, it’s possible that Capcom could also choose to tease the final character in this season pass, the mysterious Ingrid. Longtime fans are wondering how Capcom will evolve Ingrid to fit within a mainline game such as Street Fighter 6 after previously appearing in offshoots like Capcom Fighting All-Stars.

In addition, Capcom’s upcoming livestream will also focus on Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection and Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection. The latter continues Capcom’s efforts to bring each Mega Man series back to modern platforms as part of collections. So far, fans have been able to relive the classic Mega Man games, the X series, ZX franchise, and most recently, the Battle Network games. It should be a nice warm-up for the eventual release of a brand-new Mega Man game in 2027. In fact, Mega Man Dual Override is part of the featured games section on the showcase website, so Capcom could be planning another teaser trailer as part of this event.

As for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, Capcom has already revealed a ton of information so far, so it’ll be interesting to see what else the company has in store for fans before its launch on March 13. Players have even been able to try out the experience for themselves thanks to a demo that released back in February, and Capcom also confirmed a special collaboration between Twisted Reflection and Monster Hunter Wilds coming very soon.
