Fans are hyped for GTA 6, and there is no doubt the game will suck up everyone’s time when it launches, but one couple has signed a pretty bizarre contract regarding game-time stipulations. Rockstar’s GTA 6 finally opened pre-orders on June 25, kickstarting the much-anticipated marketing season leading to its fall launch.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is almost here, and fans are starting to get a little crazy about it. After preorders opened, multiple businesses posted notices that employees would be out of work when the game launches and YouTubers tried to walk into Rockstar’s headquarters. As a whole, November 19 is starting to feel more like a national holiday than a simple Thursday. Fans have been in such a frenzy that they’re even falling for GTA 6 scalpers, despite the game being digital-only. GTA 6 fans can be pretty serious, and a newly discovered post online could be one of the most bizarre yet.

GTA 6 PS5 Pre-Orders Reportedly Demolishing Xbox

The PS5 version of Grand Theft Auto 6 is reportedly significantly outselling the Xbox Series X/S version after just a few days.

GTA 6 Fan Makes Partner Sign a Weird Contract Before Launch

In a post that has now been removed from Reddit, an English couple was spotted holding a signed contract, specifying that on GTA 6‘s launch week, the boyfriend can play the game as much as he wants. Then it gets a little more strange from there. The second provision puts limitations on walking in front of the TV, the third limits what can be said by the girlfriend upon a mission failure, number four restricts her affection to certain parameters being completed in the game, and the fifth states that one stipulation can be removed if the girlfriend purchases or contributes money to purchasing the game. Upon uploading the image, Redditors were quick to start poking fun at the original poster.

Many users have commented, saying that this is completely childish and that the launch of GTA 6 should not result in people imposing weird restrictions on each other. Others say it is just a flat-out “cringe” thing to do, while a few are being quite a bit meaner and taking shots at the couple directly. The original poster hasn’t responded to a single comment, and it doesn’t appear that they are either of the two people in the image. It’s likely that this duo decided to have some fun online by posting a lighthearted contract and didn’t mean for it to be taken so seriously.

Grand Theft Auto 6 fans can be an odd bunch, though, so it’s hard to tell what should be taken seriously or not. Recent days have seen the fandom somewhat up in arms over the game’s $80 price tag and the Ultimate Edition’s exclusive features, which many worry will set a new standard for AAA games. Rockstar is also ditching physical sales entirely, which means that there are a lot of asterisks coming with GTA 6‘s launch, but they likely won’t matter anyway, as everyone in the industry already believes that it will be the best-selling game of this year.

Some fans online are even starting to think Rockstar is mocking them over everything the company is getting away with. Fans have pointed out some stickers in GTA 6 that could be interpreted as Rockstar mocking Ultimate Edition buyers for buying useless items, though that could just be gamers reading too much into it. Overall, a good portion of this discourse and noise could be fans getting a little stir-crazy after a decade-long wait, but at least when it comes to contracts, it’s all in good fun and hopefully no one will actually be asked to watch what they say while GTA 6 is on the screen.
