D4vd’s Arcane Song Is Disappearing From Streaming After Arrest

David “D4vd” Burke was arrested in April in the investigation of the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, a California teen whose body was found in an impounded Tesla belonging to the pop singer back in September. Burke’s music has been featured in projects like Fortnite, and as the case goes to trial in June, companies that collaborated with the singer are figuring out how to handle having his music in said projects. One of those projects is Arcane, the League of Legends animated series on Netflix, which features a song by D4vd called “Remember Me,” though it looks like Netflix and Riot Games may be looking to scrub the song from the internet and with it, the singer’s association with their brands.

Fans noticed today that “Remember Me” has been removed from the Arcane soundtrack on Spotify and Apple Music, as well as Riot’s official YouTube music channel. You can still find the song on YouTube through unofficial channels, including a video of Burke performing it at the 2024 Game Awards with Arcane and League of Legends characters in the backdrop on stage.

The song is featured in the sixth episode of Arcane’s second and final season, and while Netflix and Riot have scrubbed the song in some channels, it remains in the show at the moment. Netflix has let the teams behind shows like Stranger Things edit episodes after they were released on the platform, so it’s possible that Arcane may be updated to remove Burke’s song at some point. We’ve reached out to Netflix for comment on the situation and will update this story if we hear back.
