Palworld is giving fans a closer look at the upcoming release of the Palworld Official Card Game, showing off some of the cards that will be in the game’s first booster set. The trading card game will release in late July and features some of Palworld‘s most memorable creatures.
The monster-catching survival game from Pocketpair took the world by storm when it launched in early access. Palworld quickly became a runaway sales success for its unique mix of monster-catching with Minecraft-like survival elements, selling more than eight million copies within less than a week of its release. The game saw multiple updates adding new content to the game throughout its early access period, and Palworld finally launched its Version 1.0 update on July 10. Now, Pocketpair is gearing up to debut a brand-new TCG based on Palworld.

Palworld is giving fans a closer look at some of the chase cards set to be included in the Palworld Official Card Game‘s first expansion, Dawn of Palpagos. Fan-favorite Pal Katress will appear as one of the “Over Super Rare” cards in the set, featuring a stunning full-art version of the Dark Pal. Over Super Rares are expected to serve as some of the most highly sought-after cards from the set of 100 unique cards and 61 variants included in the game’s first full set. The Palworld Official Card Game‘s Dawn of Palpagos expansion is scheduled to officially release on July 30, with fans able to pre-order the card game through local game stores.

The full list of cards included in the Dawn of Palpagos expansion pulls from some of Palworld‘s most iconic Pals. The set features many of the game’s most memorable Pals, such as Chillet, Lifmunk, and Depresso. Many of the human characters introduced in Palworld are also available within the card game’s first expansion, including multiple versions of Zoe, Lily, Victor, and Axel. The Palworld Official Card Game even features a selection of different weapons and items, with cards for the Pengullet Rocket Launcher, Daedream’s Necklace, and a Makeshift Handgun.
The Palworld Official Card Game will once again put Pocketpair in direct competition with Pokemon and its mega-popular trading card game. The Pokemon TCG has seen a surge in popularity in recent years, with expansions like Evolving Skies and Prismatic Evolutions drawing in collectors and casual fans alike. The Pokemon TCG is also preparing to launch one of the biggest sets of recent years in September, with the 30th Celebration expansion honoring the franchise’s anniversary with a plethora of highly sought-after reprints.
Palworld‘s card game joins a growing effort from Pocketpair to expand the game into a full-fledged franchise. Pocketpair officially announced Palworld: Palfarm in September 2025, teasing the game as a farming sim spin-off similar to games like Stardew Valley. Palfarm was confirmed to carry over familiar elements from the original game, including putting Pals to work on the farm and battling invading Pals, though more emphasis was placed on social elements in the farming sim. Between a new card game and the first spin-off, Palworld looks to be growing into something much more than a monster-catching fad.
